Paramount Turning Talking Dog YouTube Video into Feature Film

By: Derrick Deane on February 14, 2012 at 10:59AM Comments (2)

In the pantheon of bad movie ideas, this one's got to rank up near the top.

Paramount is planning on taking that viral talking dog video and turning it into a feature length movie. You know, the one that has generated over 94 million views since it was posted last May. Ultimate Dog Tease went on to become the second most-viewed YouTube video of 2011.

Working through its low-budget production house Insurge, Paramount has inked writers Alec Berg and David Mandel (they wrote the upcoming Sacha Baron Cohen comedy The Dictator).

For now, watch the original video below and then ponder how they can stretch this into an 80-90 minute feature film.

I love it how creative and sooooo funny the Video above is, LOL!! Everytime we (my Family and I) see a new premiere movie, we see this clever gathering of cats, dogs and little animation of cartoons w/their Owner on the Game-phone (I guess their the one's his having entertainment with/talking to) getting ready to see a Movie but he can't bring them in the movie w/him. So, he leaves them in the Lobby with the other Games. It is sooooo funny especially when the dog yawns his upsets of being left beyond for 2 1/2 hrs!! How cool that their making a movie on one of the animals...'his a sweet precious this special Canine is...'love his ears, how they go lop sided.
