Remember when I told you that we'd be seeing a steady stream of Superman stories over the next few weeks? Well, as of now it certainly appears as if we're going to get daily Superman tidbits, as the rumor mill refuses to stop turning (even during a holiday week). The latest comes from the Australian site What's Playing, who seem to have gotten hold of a casting breakdown that sheds more light on the plot.
Superman, Anne Hathaway
She is just to harsh looking for this part.
ew yuk. Not my pick.
Great pic for Louis. Make sure we get Brandon Routh for as Superman! ROUTH FOR SUPERMAN
Anne Hathaway as Lois Lane! Excellent choice thumbs up.Now find someone with the charisma, charm and magnetism to pair with the beautiful and talented Miss Hathaway and you've got something.Perfect candidate would be Joe Manganiello from "True Blood",he looks just like Superman! Plus he'd be the first Italian American Man of Steel ! Get with it people!!!
Anne Hathaway would make a great Lois Lane. She's perfect for the part and I can easily picture her playing the role and nagging at Superman constantly. Great choice :)
I like the dramatic emotions in Ms. Anne HATHAWAY's eyes (The Devil Wears Prada-I'd feared for her in that movie...'but she finally stood her ground), ALICE In Wonderland/she was awesome in that as the White Queen) and I really liked her in that Princess movie w/legendary Actress Julie Andrews, just to name a few her movie's. She's a wonderful Actress Ms. Hathaway and wouldn't mind seeing her in the famous Role as LOIS LANE.
They are going to lose us on the superman story. It needs to move on. Damn every person in the world knows how superman came to be. What if they kept remaking the batman origins, over and over and over. I would say shoot me with his parents in the alley. There are so many story lines with superman. Im also tired of seeing Lex Luthor, like he is the only one Superman has ever fought.
Thats one thing I like alot about smallville, halfway through the said ^^^^ it with lex, and introduced more baddies from the universe. Like Bizzaro, Braniac, Zod, and Doomsday. Even in the most recent season the got ******* DARKSIED, how sick is that. Even though I don't see how they are going to live up to the villian with just one more episode to go, at least its ******* DARKSIED, bad***.
please make tom welling superman!!!!
bull. let lois be an unknown. i'm tired of the same faces all over the screen. give someone else a chance to claim fame.
Anne Hathaway would be great as Lois Lane. She would bring the kind of class necessary to make the role believable. It depends on what the producers are looking for, more of a studious type character or a knock out beauty.
Still sounds another version of Smallville to me. I agree, get away from the origin story already.
I agree! It sounds like a TV movie version of Smallville! Next thing you know they'll be adding Lana and Chloe into the story arc. Haha
"When he is compelled to use his secret powers to intervene in a crisis in West Africa, Clark returns to Smallville to learn more about his origins and the hero he was born to be" WTF I thought they said no origin bullshit, everyone knows this story stop hammering it down our ******* throats damn it and come up with something ******* original.
Totally agree! Get on with the original stuff, stick with the comic! What about Doomsday, Mr. mxlplix, or even Bizzaro! I do like Anne Hathaway as Lois though! Wat to get enthused Guy who loves movies!!
Yeah Ms. Hathaway isn't a bad choice. It's hard for me to see her in the role, mostly because I haven't seen many films with her. Princess Diaries is the last one I saw several years ago. Though I hear she did well in Devil wears Parada. It does seem like she plays the awkward girl alot, and thats not really what lois is, but then again I haven't seen all her roles. I hope she does well, I mean you can't get much worst then the 12 year old girl the cast in the last movie.
She has had some meatier roles. Check out Rachel Getting Married or Becoming Jane.
I'll put em on my list.
I actually tried to contact Warner Brothers because I came up with a really dark / edgy story. Which actually leaves Superman not wanting to be a hero, not wanting to help people after his father is killed and his powers didn't help save his father.
Plus he feels like an outcast and can't relate to anyone because he carries the burden. Of course as his villian he eventually has to face and realize that he can't idly sit by and has to defend the people who can't defeat Darkseid, Furies, and Granny Goodness.
Figured it would break him out of his "wholesome" story a little, realte to a newer audience, and reinvent and give new life to his story and a breath of fresh air. What do you guys think? Good idea?
Argh, was logged in as my co-worker cause he bought tickets to red and forgot to swap logins.
I'm sure the topic of his powers and how he was adopted would come up when he was maybe 10 or 12; so I really hope they don't use that inplusable idea.
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
