The long search is finally over. The two leads for the Fifty Shades of Grey movie adaptation were revealed this morning.
First let’s meet Christian Grey. Playing him will be Pacific Rim and Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam.
There were a number of actors who were rumored for the role, including Matt Bomer, Henry Cavill and Ian Somerhalder.
So who will Hunnam be getting freaky with on-screen?
Playing Anastasia Steele will be Dakota Johnson, the 23-year-old daughter of Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith.
Her casting is probably the biggest surprise as many fans had hoped for either Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke or former Gilmore Girls star Alexis Bledel to take the role. Casting an unknown in the role is an interesting move on Universal Studios’ part.
