Of all the people you could get into debate about over contracts and such, Joe Pesci might be one of the more intimidating ones to face off against. Pesci is suing Fiore Films claiming the makers of the biopic about the Gotti family reduced his role to a lesser part and gave him a $2 million salary cut.

Pesci claims the company used his name and likeness to promote the movie and attract investors but now doesn’t want to honor its original offer to him. Pesci was set to play childhood friend and enforcer Angelo Ruggiero, but says he’s been offered the smaller part of Anthony “Gaspipe” Casso and a $1 million payday.

Fiore Films CEO Marc Fiore plans to fight Pesci in court saying, “He’s wasting his time and everybody else’s time. I might be a newbie in town, but this newbie is not going to get bullied around.”

Gotti stars John Travolta in the title role with Al Pacino, Kelly Preston and Lindsay Lohan co-starring.
