You can't help but wonder how much of this is a tie-in to Iron Man 3 opening in theaters next weekend, but People has announced its 2013 Most Beautiful People list--and gracing the cover is none other than Pepper Potts herself, Gwyneth Paltrow.
Paltrow said that when she first heard she would be on the cover of the magazine she thought, "someone was playing a joke" on her. She says she re-read the email three times and said, "this can't be true. I've developed dyslexia, I'm not reading right. It's a very iconic cover in American culture so it's really amazing and people feel real happy for you when you say that you're going to be in the issue."
She continues, "I feel very lucky that I'm no longer in my 20s….My definition of beauty has changed as I've gotten older in that I see so much how beauty does, as cliché as it may sound, emanate from within."
Other women making the list include Kerry Washington, Amanda Seyfried, Zooey Deschanel, Jane Fonda, Jennifer Lawrence, Kelly Rowland, Halle Berry, Drew Barrymore, Portia de Rossi, Gabrielle Union and singers Demi Lovato and Pink.
The other 37 pretty people will be revealed in the 50 Most Beautiful People issue on newsstands April 26.
