Granted it's not on the level of Peter Jackson's Hobbit video blogs, but Sam Mendes and the James Bond Skyfall folks have released their first video blog of what we presume will be a series as they fill us in on various stages of filming.
The film began shooting on the 17th and is due to arrive in theaters on November 9.
In the video blog, Mendes talks about how he thinks it's still possible to make a "big, entertaining, fabulous, glamorous movie and yet at the same time say something about the world we're living in."
He also talks about how this will be the first movie that he shoots in his native England. His six previous films were shot in the U.S., which he jokingly refers to as his apprenticeship to doing a Bond movie.
The video blog was preceded by a new image, revealed on the 007 Facebook page, of Judi Dench on set with Mendes.
