As we near the hotly-anticipated start of 2011, we here at Fandango decided to put out a call to filmgoers to see what (and who) they were most looking forward to in the new year. We’ll kick things off by sharing the results of our Sexiest Man and Woman of 2011 polls, which were voted on by over 1,000 filmgoers right here at Fandango.

Johnny Depp

The fun part of these polls is in seeing the differences between what both men and women find sexy in the opposite sex, as well as their own. For example, women included Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Kate Hudson in their top ten, though neither gal managed to crack the men’s list. Same goes for Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson, both of whom show up on the women’s list but not the men’s list. (Oh, and Lautner outranks Pattinson, in case you were curious about that.)
 
Alternatively, Emma Watson, Mila Kunis and Olivia Wilde rank high on the men’s list, but all three are absent from the women’s list. However, both men and women chose Johnny Depp as the Sexiest Man in 2011 Movies, and both sexes also have the same top three men: Depp, Ryan Reynolds and Robert Downey Jr. (though the men have Reynolds second, while the women have him third).
