Exclusive Debut: The Final Poster for 'The Runaways'!

By: Chuck Walton on March 4, 2010 at 2:26PM Comments (10)

Rock and Rollers & K-Stew fans! Below is the exclusive debut of the final poster for The Runaways (opens in select cities March 19. everywhere April 9), featuring Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning as rock and roll icons Joan Jett and Cherie Currie during their formative years in '70s rock band The Runaways. We've actually seen this image before as a previously released still, but, what the heck, it definitely holds up as a poster image of two young, tough and no-bull rocker girls. The film's already been well received at this year's Sundance Film Fest...what do you think? Game to see K-Stew flex her acting chops in a role that's pretty far removed from Twilight?

Honestly: the teaser one was way better. What's up with this new Hollywood thing, in which they just grab a scene from the movie and make it the poster? The "cherry bomb" one had way more poetry, style, and energy. Sorry, but that's how I feel...

This looks awesome. Dakota has always been a fantastic young actress and Kristen is really stepping into her own as well. Kudos to them both! :)

what about lita ford? i see no mention of her. she's the only other runaway that went on to have a solo career, although short-spanned. she's a Big part of the runaways! :(

Where's Lita Ford? Why isn't see a part of this? The only two I ever knew from the runaways was Joan and Lita - like most people. I will go see this anyway but just wondering how Lita feels about the apparent snub.

Dakota fanning, i think she can do it, she's a wonderful actress who has proven herself again and again in a variety of roles, Kristen Stewart on the other hand, face it, she's a horrible actress who is only really known for her breakout role in twilight (ive seen panic room, adventure land, catch that kid so do not say i haven't seen enough of her) really i think Kristen's going to ruin the movie, her bland expressions with her always opened mouth kinda irked me in Twilight. But who knows maybe she'll change for the better.. Im really looking foward to the Runaways, so im hoping for the best -_-
