Almost thirty years after Disney fired Tim Burton for his animated short film Frankenweenie claiming it was "too scary," the studio is set to release a feature film of the same title and concept on October 5. Leading up to the film's release, Disney has announced a touring art exhibition featuring props, puppets, original artwork and sets from Burton's stop-motion film.
While the film will tour across the globe hitting seven countries including France, England, Japan, Mexico and Canada, it will make two stops in the U.S.
The first stop occurs during Comic-Con weekend in San Diego, which leads us to believe that Burton may be in attendance in Hall H promoting the film sometime during the weekend. The exhibit will jump to Mexico City and Toronto before returning to California with a run in Anaheim from September 14 through November 5.

Right, it's only showing in California. Because the rest of the USA doesn't want to see the film. We can't possibly be interested in it. And where is the schedule for the art exhibit available?
