A while back we got our first look at Anthony Hopkins as Alfred Hitchcock in Sacha Gervasi's Hitchcock. The film co-stars big names actors including Helen Mirren, Jessica Biel, Toni Collette and others. While we're sure to get looks at their characters somewhere down the road, today we get a glimpse at Scarlett Johansson as film icon Janet Leigh, best known for her role in Psycho.
Iron Man 3 has added another villain for Tony Stark to face. James Badge Dale, (he's had supporting roles in The Departed, Shame and The Grey) will play Lt. Col. Eric Savin. In the comics, he is put in charge of Project: Ultra. After he steps on a land mine, cybernetic surgery is performed on him and he is resurrected as the cyborg Coldblood. Sir Ben Kingsley was added a while back as the yet-to-be-named main villain in the movie. [Variety]
John Woo is set to remake Seijun Suzuki's 1960's Japanese New Wave crime drama Youth of the Beast. Woo's version will be called Day of the Beast. You can watch the trailer for the original Youth of the Beast here.
Viola Davis is taking on the modern public education crisis with the aid of Maggie Gyllenhaal in Won't Back Down. The film is helmed by Daniel Barnz (Beastly) who directs Davis and Gyllenhaal as a pair of mothers who team up to establish a charter school for struggling children in their Pittsburgh neighborhood. The film opens September 28.
Red Bull is producing a parkour 3D adaptation of Oliver Twist. Yes, the Charles Dickens classic is being turned into an indie 3D action movie. Betcha didn't see that one coming. [SlashFilm]

Cartoon Network's Adult Swim will announce at their upfronts tomorrow that they are developing a new half-hour animated series based on the Harold & Kumar movies. Morgan Freeman in is talks to join Robert De Niro and Michael Douglas in the comedy Last Vegas. The film follows four elderly friends who head to the Sunset Strip for a bachelor party. Sin City and Terminator 3 actor Nick Stahl has been reported missing. His wife filed a missing persons report with the LAPD, mentioning that he was last seen on May 9 in L.A.'s Skid Row. This comes after a separation between the couple, court-ordered drug test prior to seeing his 2-year-old daughter and a minor offense where he skipped on cab fare. [RumorFix]

Since exiting the Transformers franchise, Shia LaBeouf is looking to carve out a new reputation as a respectable adult lead actor. While we wait for his performances in John Hillcoat's Lawless and Robert Redford's The Company You Keep to hit screens, here's a first look of LaBeouf from Frederick Bond's The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman. The film will arrive in theaters next year.
Wes Anderson says he's halfway done with his next screenplay, which will be set in Europe. With the director's Moonrise Kingdom arriving in theaters next weekend, he's been busy promoting the film, which had its world premiere at Cannes yesterday. Madea movies suck, Tyler Perry's sense of humor sucks. All of his shows and movies suck. But I will admit that the pics of him portraying Alex Cross seem to catch my eye a bit. Maybe he needs to stick with thrillers/action films since his sense of humor is crap. I still think Morgan Freeman should stick to being Alex Cross.
