David Lindelof kicked off the Fox screening as the moderator and introduced Charlize Theron and a clip of Prometheus. There has been a lot of mystery shrouding the movie, and the opening sizzle trailer delves into the world of the sci-fi on a grand scale. Scott, who is shooting the movie in 3D, says that the movie will focus on an uncivilized civilization, which possesses the original DNA of the original Alien. Aside from that, the movie is something completely different. Scott spoke via satellite from Iceland where he is currently shooting. He then introduced Noomi Rapace who co-stars in the movie.

 

Lindelof joked about a scene involving Theron doing naked push-ups, and Theron joked back in like manner.

 

In Time was next. Another movie that the public hasn't heard much about, the sci-fi action flick finds Justin Timberlake falsely accused of murder. He then goes on the run from Cillian Murphy and Alex Pettyfer with Amanda Seyfried in tow. Footage was shown, and despite the usual fine acting from Murphy, the Hall H crowd was willing to give the clip a courtesy applause. Timberlake and Seyfried then made their Comic-Con debut and entertained questions from fans.

 

Andy Serkis wrapped, then joined Lindelof on stage to present an extensive Rise of the Planet of the Apes presentation. Along with the footage that premiered earlier this week on Yahoo, there was also a new clip shown featuring the apes joining together and, as Serkis put it, "creating their own language." Another sizzle reel of the apes rising closed the presentation but not before the audience Q&A, which yielded a juicy piece of Hobbit news.

 

Serkis confirmed that he has finished shooting his scenes as Gollum and was directing the second crew. The actor said that 60 days had been spent filming and another 200 await the cast and crew. OK, granted that's not huge news, but it's better than another dwarf photo, right?

 

Rise of the Planet of the Apes hits theaters August 5th, while In Time is slated October 28th. Prometheus is due June 8, 2012.
