If you listen to Summit Entertainment (and now Lionsgate exec) Rob Friedman, the only way we're getting more Twilight movies beyond The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2 is if Stephenie Meyer writes more books. "If she (Meyer) wishes to do it, we'll be there to support her," Friedman said during an investors meeting, alluding to the fact that Meyer would have to pen more stories for them to adapt. Which seems fair -- they're her characters, after all -- though something tells us it won't be difficult for them to convince her to help them out. And they could definitely use her help -- anything Meyer pens just extends their franchise to the bookstore, where it's just as lucrative. Plus the Twilight fanbase are loyal to her, and so their key to more Twilight sits in her hands. No word yet on what they may already have planned, but character spin-offs -- both on the big and small screen -- are most likely in the works as we speak.
Meanwhile, those Twi-hards itching for a piece of Breaking Dawn, Part 2 will get it when the trailer premieres before The Hunger Games this March 23, marking the first major cross-promotional opportunity for Summit and Lionsgate since the two joined forces.
Would you like to see Meyer pen more stories they can adapt into movies or TV shows, or do you feel Twilight should end for good with Breaking Dawn, Part 2?

Im in love with twilight and would love it if there was another book wriiten and a movie stemming from it.Even if bella and edward got older, there is renesme which we will get to know soon and love im sure. Renesme and jacob could have a child and it would be great to give rose her dream and have her adopt or become pregnant some how. Now that would be awesome!!! Pls dont end it. this is a great story and i would be so sad if it ended.

Stephenie should deffently write more books for the series and finish midnight sun i was foaming at the mouth when i read the rough draft on her website and really and i mean really loved it. so it would be great for her to write more books that so many people are going to love along with the first ones!

i wouldn't mind one more spin off of twilight, Myers could probably concoct one more conflict with the volturi over renesmee once she is grown up. that could be interesting.... but at the same time, the antagonism between Edward and Jacob would be gone, so that would make for a less entertaining movie

Writing Twilight is one thing. Making it into continuing movies is another. By the time she finished writing, the Actors may have grown and then you'd have to start over with new actors. I suppose it works with Superhero movies sometimes, but not sure how fans would approach it. Consider if Harry Potter had different actors for the whole series...would it have been just as good/bad(depending on your opinion), or would it have made no difference?

love twilight but it ended well if Stephanie Meyer decides to write another I would say yeahhhh with the fellow kids that exist in the world or Reneesmee development with her powers.

Definitely keep writing more Twilight. It's been so successful, why stop? When you have such a large fan base, that should be motivation enough to keep the saga going!

I'd love to see her finish MIDNIGHT SUN and also write about Leah or Charlie & Sue's "romance!"

If you've ever read Stephanie's website or heard her talk about it in an interview, she was writing more books and she already knows what happens to these characters beyond the published books. But, someone put her work out on the internet and she stopped writing and hasn't felt motivated to write about these characters since that happened. So convincing her to write more might be harder than you state. You really should do some research before writing things that the masses will read.

I had read about this. All I can say is she must not be very passionate about the world she created if she's willing to give up that easily. But she's rolling in it, so why would she? I think there are plenty of other stories that should be told. Let Twilight go :) I'm ravenous for The Hunger Games!
I hear the hunger games are good. But if someone steals your work and releases it before it's completed and you've had the chance to make the edits and decision you want about your work, than it kind takes the wind out of your motivation to keep going.
