Ask Pixar fans which movie they'd like to see a sequel to and most of them will tell you The Incredibles. With Finding Nemo and Monsters, Inc. releasing sequels over the next few years, The Incredibles remains one of the few movies in Pixar's library that hasn't gotten a second installment.
Wall-E, Up, Ratatouille, Brave and A Bug's Life remain the other Pixar features that haven't had a prequel/sequel… yet.
The Incredibles director Brad Bird recently spoke with THR about the prospects of a sequel.
"I have been thinking about it. People thing that I have not been, but I have. Because I love those character and love that world. I am stroking my chin and scratching my head. I have many, many elements that I think would work really well in another Incredibles film, and if I can get 'em to click all together, I would probably wanna do that."
Bird also states that an Incredibles sequel isn't the only movie he's thinking about.
"I have many different films I wanna make. It's like a big airplane hangar and I have different projects on the floor, half-assembled in my brain. I'm interested in all of them. You kind of have to move on the ones people are will to pay for and the ones you're most excited about."
That statement suggests that either the majority of the folks at Pixar and Disney don't want to fund an Incredibles sequel or Bird isn't thoroughly excited about the potential project. But given that he says he's been thinking about various scenarios to include in a new film, one has to think that it’s a money issue.
Bird also talked about being approached for the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII movie which he turned down.
"They did come to me. But the problem was, the schedule they had in mind made it impossible to do… unless I dropped Tomorrowland. And I was just really deep into this film at that point. It's easy to say, 'Just put it on hold.' But you're moving now; you don't know if you're going to be able to move later. Maybe it's true for filmmakers like Cameron and Spielberg, but I have to act on momentum. We had reached a critical mass where it would've thrown the furniture around from the train stopping. I really want to see this movie. I love the Star Wars films, and I can't wait to see what J.J. does, but it meant I'd have to shut down one dream to participate in another. I feel like [with Tomorrowland] we're making something that's really special and unique."
Are you still holding out hope for an Incredibles sequel? Would you like to see Bird eventually direct a Star Wars movie?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make an Incredibles 2!!!
As for sequels to Pixar movies, Pixar should forget about making a "Toy Story 4", the ending of "Toy Story 3" was perfect, same with "WALL-E", "Brave", and "Ratatouille." A sequel to "The Incredibles" would be great idea or an Edna Mode spin-off.
I agree but if TS4 happens i won''t be too upset
Also, "Up" doesn't need a sequel either. To me, it seems as if Pixar is giving in to pressure from Disney to make sequels/prequels/spin-offs.
Early reactions to "Monsters University" have been positive. I too can't wait for June 21st and I'll be in line once advance tickets go on sale.
I'm going to see it at the El Capitan in Hollywood
I'm still hoping the incredibles gets a sequel. That's the one Pixar movie in the world I'd want to see get a sequel. Wall E seems good since Earth still needs to be rebuilt. Brave we already had enough of along with Toy Story. A bugs life and Ratatouille forget it. Perfect ending. Can't wait for MU next month and Finding Dorey I am doubting it'll be great as Nemo ten years ago
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
