'Captain America: Civil War' (May 6)

Captain America's (Chris Evans) and Iron Man's (Robert Downey Jr.) friendship comes to an explosive end when the government tries to regulate superheroes. With the Avengers split down the middle and the fan-anticipated appearances of Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) and Spider-Man (Tom Holland), this is one you won’t want to miss.

'A Bigger Splash' (May 6)

"She is the woman of the century!" Tilda Swinton stars as rock star Marion Lane, whose vacation with her boyfriend Paul (Matthias Schoenaerts) devolves into a hilarious, erotic thriller when her old friend Harry (Ralph Fiennes) and his daughter Penelope (Dakota Johnson) interrupt. Expect phenomenal performances by phenomenal actors.

'High-Rise' (May 13)

In 'High-Rise,' the richer you are, the higher you live in the skyscraper. When Dr. Robert Laing (Tom Hiddleston) attends a party above his income, he sets off a surreal class war and hilarious anarchistic rebellion. 

'Money Monster' (May 13)

"Without risk, there is no reward." Producer Patty Flynn (Julia Roberts) attempts to help stock-advice TV host Lee Gates (George Clooney) survive being held hostage by a revenge-seeking viewer who’s lost everything. A Wall Street warning story, 'Money Monster' shows what happens when you cheat the system.

'The Darkness' (May 13)

Don't mess with the spirit world. Young Michael (David Mazouz) brings back a Native American talisman from the Grand Canyon, forcing his parents, Peter (Kevin Bacon) and Bronny (Radha Mitchell), to defend their home from oil and coal-spewing poltergeists. Seriously. Don't. Mess. With. The. Spirit. World.

'The Lobster' (May 13)

If David (Colin Farrell) doesn't fall in love, he'll get turned into a lobster! What more do you need to hear? Rachel Weisz and John C. Reilly also star in this crazy comedy by director Yorgos Lanthmos. Oh, and did we mention David's bother was turned into a dog? This is one that has to be seen ot be believed.

'The Angry Birds Movie' (May 20)

An invasion of egg-snatching Piggies gives angriest bird Red (Jason Sudeikis) a much-needed outlet for his rage. Based on the smash-hit video game, 'The Angry Birds Movie' should be slapstick fun for the whole family. 

'Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising' (May 20)

Just when they thought life had calmed down, Mac (Seth Rogen) and Kelly (Rose Byrne) find their new neighbors are out-of-control sorority girls. Desperate times call for desperate measures, so they bring in reinforcements in the form of former neighbor and out-of control frat boy Teddy (Zac Efron). Let the prank war begin. Again.

'The Nice Guys' (May 20)

Director Shane Black is back doing what he does best -- buddy-cop movies. Holland (Ryan Gosling) and Jackson (Russell Crowe) are a private eye and hired goon who are at each other's throats as they investigate a porn star's murder in 1970s Los Angeles. And that's when things get weird.

'X-Men: Apocalypse' (May 27)

He's been with us since the dawn of time: Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac), a mutant god on Earth, pledges to remake the world in his image… unless the X-Men stop him first. Professor X (James McAvoy) and Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) lead the charge to defend our very existence as we know it.

'Alice Through the Looking Glass' (May 27)

Nothing can save you from the hands of Time -- especially when Time is personified by Sacha Baron Cohen. Alice (Mia Wasikowska) returns to Underland to save the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp) from the combined lunacy of Time and the villainous Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter). You think you know madness? Think again…

'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows' (June 3)

Hot on the tail (do turtles have tails?) of the wildly successful 2014 'TMNT' reboot, our heroes on the half shell are back just in time to save the city. This sequel also introduces fan-favorite characters like Krang and Casey Jones, who is based on the classic hockey-playing, comic book incarnation.

'Me Before You' (June 3)

'Game of Thrones' dragon lady Emilia Clarke falls for 'Hunger Games' hunk Sam Claflin, a paralyzed man who's given himself six months to live. But the less they know about what's in store, the more things are sure to change.

'Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping' (June 3)

Lonely Island bros Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone deliver a star-studded mockumentary about a failed rapper (Samberg) reuniting with his old boy band. The soundtrack is sure to be raunchy – and endlessly quotable.

'The Conjuring 2' (June 10)

Old-school ghostbusters Ed and Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga) are back, this time investigating a poltergeist in England. Like its 2013 predecessor, this 'Conjuring' is based on actual events. Prepare to be terrified.

'Warcraft' (June 10)

In this epic fantasy based on the hugely popular 'World of Warcraft' video game, it's man vs. orc for the fate of civilization. If anyone can successfully bring a game to the big screen it's director and devoted gamer Duncan Jones, who thrilled us with 'Moon' (2009) and 'Source Code' (2011).

'Now You See Me 2' (June 10)

The Four Horseman return for an encore performance/heist in an effort to bring down a unethical tech magnate. Most of the original cast returns, with Daniel Radcliffe and Lizzy Caplan joining what is sure to be a fun-filled sequel full of smoke and mirrors.

'Finding Dory' (June 17)

In this highly anticipated follow-up to 2003’s 'Finding Nemo,’ writer-director Andrew Stanton and stars Ellen DeGeneres and Albert Brooks are back in the swim of things for a family adventure featuring everybody's favorite memory-challenged fish, Dory. 

'Central Intelligence' (June 17)

Twenty years after being saved by the big man on campus, now a mild-mannered accountant (Kevin Hart), a former high school nerd turned CIA agent (Dwayne Johnson) recruits his old pal to help him on one of his cases. Expect more laughs than gunfire – and oh, there will be plenty of gunfire.

'Independence Day: Resurgence' (June 24)

Ready to once again declare your independence against alien invasion? Then this long-in-coming sequel to the 1996 blockbuster is for you. Liam Hemsworth and Joey King join several famous survivors from the first movie, including President Whitmore (Bill Pullman). The movie may not have Will Smith, but it will have plenty of alien-blasting action.

'Free State of Jones' (June 24)

In what could be the first big Oscar contender of 2016, Matthew McConaughey plays a Mississippi farmer who rebels against the Confederacy during the Civil War. Based on an incredible true story, 'Free State of Jones' promises both action and heart.

'The Shallows' (June 24)

The one-person survival tale is all the rage. Following in the footsteps of 2013's 'Gravity' and 2015's 'The Revenant,' Blake Lively gets her turn as an injured surfer separated from shore by a very big, very hungry shark.

'The BFG' (July 1)

Steven Spielberg returns to family fare for an adaptation of Roald Dahl's classic children’s novel. Oscar winner Mark Rylance ('Bridge of Spies') plays the titular Big Friendly Giant, who instead of eating kids, befriends one (Ruby Barnhill). 

'The Legend of Tarzan' (July 1)

Alexander Skarsgard is the latest actor to swing into theaters as the iconic jungle hero, with Margot Robbie as his Jane. The story follows Tarzan, who has been living in London for years, as he returns to Africa to take on the corrupt head of a mining operation, played by the deliciously villainous Christoph Waltz.

'The Purge: Election Year' (July 1)

In tune with this year’s big political race, the third installment of the 'Purge' franchise follows a presidential candidate (Elizabeth Mitchell) and anti-Purge advocate as she attempts to end the Purge-night tradition -- making her a perfect target. Protecting the presidential hopeful is Frank Grillo, who reprises his role from 'The Purge: Anarchy.'

'Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates' (July 8)

Zac Efron and Adam DeVine play two wild-and-crazy brothers in this raunchy comedy from the writers of 'Neighbors.' Tasked with finding respectable dates for their sister's wedding in Hawaii, they end up with two girls (Aubrey Plaza and Anna Kendrick) who make the boys actually seem like dignified members of society.

'The Secret Life of Pets' (July 8)

What do pets do when their owners aren’t around? This CGI film from the team behind 'Minions' looks to answer that question. Lending their voices to the animated menagerie is an A-list cast that includes Kevin Hart, Louis C.K., Eric Stonestreet, Jenny Slate and Albert Brooks.  

'Ghostbusters' (July 15)

Rebooting a classic 1980s paranormal comedy? Who ya gonna call? Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon, of course! Along with 'Bridesmaids' writer-director Paul Feig, this new take on 'Ghostbusters' promises to be frightfully funny. Look for lots of cameos from the original cast, plus Chris Hemsworth's turn as a nerdy and somewhat qualified receptionist. 

'The Infiltrator' (July 15)

Following up his Oscar-nominated role as Dalton Trumbo, Bryan Cranston portrays another real person in this crime drama from 'The Lincoln Lawyer' director Brad Furman. Cranston plays U.S. customs agent Robert Mazur, who in the 1980s went undercover to take down money-laundering schemes of drug dealers such as Pablo Escobar. The movie also stars Diane Kruger, Amy Ryan and John Leguizamo.

'Star Trek Beyond' (July 22)

In this third installment of the rebooted 'Star Trek' series, Kirk (Chris Pine), Spock (Zachary Quinto) and the 'U.S.S. Enterprise' crew are stranded on a strange planet following an attack by a new enemy (Idris Elba). They do have a new ally, however, in an alien played by Sofia Boutella, the razor-footed baddie from 'Kingsman: The Secret Service.'

'Ice Age: Collision Course' (July 22)

In this fifth installment of the popular computer-animated series, prehistoric pals Manny (Ray Romano), Ellie (Queen Latifah), Diego (Denis Leary) and Sid (John Leguizamo) are on the move once again after Scrat is catapulted into space causing a cataclysmic event that threatens the planet.

'Lights Out' (July 22)

Based on a short film of the same name and produced by James Wan ('Saw', 'Insidious') 'Lights Out' is the feature debut of writer-director David F. Sandberg. The premise involves a brother and sister (Gabriel Bateman and Teresa Palmer) who are tormented by an entity with mysterious ties to their mother (Maria Bello). Be sure to get yourself a nightlight in advance.

'Bad Moms' (July 29)

From the writers of 'The Hangover' comes a raucous and raunchy new comedy featuring a trio of less-than-perfect moms who are tired of expectations to be perfect all the time. Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn star in this mother of all comedies that also features Christina Applegate and Jada Pinkett Smith.

'Jason Bourne' (July 29)

It's been nine years since we last saw Matt Damon as Jason Bourne. In this fifth installment of the action series, the former amnesiac spy suddenly resurfaces looking tougher than ever. With franchise favorite Paul Greengrass at the helm and Oscar winner Alicia Vikander joining the team alosngside Damon and Julia Stiles, this should be an exciting thriller set in the post-Edward Snowden world.

'Nine Lives' (August 5)

You’ve seen a lot of talking-animal movies, but this one takes the catnip. Kevin Spacey stars as Mr. Fuzzypants, a sarcastic talking cat who must learn how to connect with his family. Directed by 'Men in Black's' Barry Sonnenfeld and costarring Jennifer Garner, Robbie Amell and Christopher Walken, this is the rare movie that will appeal to children AND their 'House of Cards'-binging parents.

'Suicide Squad' (August 5)

With 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' out of the way, it’s time for the bad guys of the DC Universe to take center stage. Director David Ayer helms this tale of a team of supervillains who are recruited by the government to go on dangerous missions from which they may not return. Although the film stars Will Smith, Jai Courtney and Jared Leto, whose turn as Joker is hotly anticpated, it's Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn who's poised to steal the show.

'The Founder' (August 5)

In this true story, Michael Keaton stars as Ray Kroc, the businessman who cofounded McDonald's, who subtly took control of the company and grew a homegrown operation into an international behemoth. Director John Lee Hancock ('Saving Mr. Banks') directs this McMovie that takes a look behind the iconic golden arches.

'Pete's Dragon' (August 12)

'Ain’t Them Bodies Saints' director David Lowery may seem like an odd choice for a remake of a Disney classic about a boy and his dragon, but that's what makes this new take on 'Pete's Dragon' so interesting. With a cast that includes Robert Redford, Bryce Dallas Howard, Wes Bentley and Karl Urban, the colorful CGI dragon isn't the only reason to check out this movie. You just know this isn't going to be an ordinary family film.

Florence Foster Jenkins (August 12)

Meryl Streep takes on this singing biography about a New York heiress who really wants to be an opera singer. Only problem is she has a voice like nails on a chalkboard. Also with Hugh Grant.

Cafe Society (August 12) 

Woody Allen's latest stars Jesse Eisenberg as a man who comes to 1930s-era Hollywood hoping to find a career in the movie industry and falls in love while he's there. Also starring Kristen Stewart and Blake Lively.

'Sausage Party' (August 12)

Don't let the cutesy animated characters fool you! 'Sausage Party’ is not a kids' movie. It’s actually an R-rated, completely filthy look at the secret world of food. The premise has shades of 'Toy Story,' but the execution makes this an appropriately raunchy companion piece to other films spearheaded by cowriters Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, the demented geniuses behind 'This Is the End' and 'Pineapple Express.' You’ll never look at food the same way again.

'Kubo and the Two Strings' (August 19)

No one makes animated movies as unique and as beautiful as Laika, the stop-motion animation studio behind 'Coraline,' 'ParaNorman' and 'The Boxtrolls.' The studio's latest film is a fantasy-adventure set in ancient Japan that follows a young man who must track down his father's legendary samurai armor after a spirit threatens his existence. The star-studded cast includes Charlize Theron, Matthew McConaughey, Rooney Mara, Ralph Fiennes and George Takei, but the animation is the real star here.

The Space Between Us (August 19)

Britt Robertson and Asa Butterfield star in this space-set sci-fi YA drama about a boy raised on Mars who comes to Earth searching for his real dad. Gary Oldman and Carla Gugino also star. 

'Ben-Hur' (August 19)

More a reshaping than a remake of the classic Charlton Heston film 'Ben-Hur,' director Timur Bekmambetov ('Night Watch,' 'Wanted') has added his own unique touch to the story. Here 'Boardwalk Empire' standout Jack Huston plays the title role, a nobleman who sets out on a mission of revenge after his friend, a Roman soldier, betrays him. You just know that chariot race is going to be insane.

'War Dogs' (August 19)

Based on a jaw-dropping true story, 'War Dogs' tells the story of two young entrepreneurs, played by Miles Teller and Jonah Hill, who win an arms contract to supply guns and ammunition for America’s allies in Afghanistan. But since this is directed by ‘The Hangover’’s Todd Phillips, you know things won’t go well and that bad behavior will be on display in every frame. 

'Mechanic: Resurrection' (August 26)

Jason Statham reprises his role as assassin extraordinaire Arthur Bishop, who is dragged back into his murderous lifestyle when the love of his life is abducted and ransomed for "the mechanic's" services. Now, he must travel the globe to complete three seemingly impossible jobs. Since this is a Jason Statham movie, you know he’s going to get the job done... and you know it's going to be messy.

'Don't Breathe' (August 26)

Director Fede Alvarez scared the pants off audiences with 2013's gory and grueling 'Evil Dead.' Now he’s back with an original horror movie about three young crooks who break into a blind man's home to commit "the perfect crime." Horrifying violence, big scares and shocking plot twists ensue as the crooks quickly discover that they are getting more than they bargained for. Bring your nerves of steel for this one.

'Hands of Stone' (August 26)

Robert De Niro is no stranger to boxing movies, having entered the ring in 'Raging Bull' and 'Grudge Match.' 'Hands of Stone' puts him in the corner as Ray Arcel, who trained Roberto Duran (Edgar Ramirez), one of the most controversial figures in boxing history. Their feud remains one of the strangest and most cinematic stories in sports history.
