Goosebumps, the horror books for kids by author R.L. Stine that gave us childhood nightmares is coming to the big screen when Goosebumps hits theaters oct. 16. The terrifying stories and memorable characters are coming to life, literally.

The creepy creatures from the stories will be much easier to swallow with these slimy sweets. While a marshmallow eyeball stares at you from atop a cupcake, inside lurks an oozing slime that makes these treats both frightening and delightful.

1 cup lemon curd

Green food gel dye

12 cupcakes (use your own favorite recipe)

Frosting

6 marshmallows

Red edible ink pen

Black icing

Gummy worms

Directions:

In a small bowl stir together the lemon curd with a drop of green food gel dye.

Core out the centers of the cooled cupcakes from the top and spoon in the colored lemon curd. Cover cupcake with frosting.
