Fanboy Fix: A Message from General Zod, Patrick Stewart on 'X-Men' Set and Stallone Confirms Snipes for 'Expendables'

Yesterday evening, as the MTV Movie Awards was set to reveal all sorts of Sneak Peeks and that new Catching Fire teaser trailer, WB dropped a new promo clip for Man of Steel.

In the static-y clip, Michael Shannon's General Zod issues a warning to the people of Earth to turn in Superman.

He then has a message for Kal-El. "Surrender within 24 hours or watch this world suffer the consequences."

It's not much, but we're expecting to get a new trailer sometime later today. In the meanwhile, check out the clip below.

X-Men: Days of Future Past begins filming today and director Bryan Singer has been busy tweeting out pictures from the set. The latest features Sir Patrick Stewart being photographed dressed up as Charles Xavier.

The film is due in theaters on July 18, 2014.

Speaking of celebrity tweets, Sylvester Stallone announced that Wesley Snipes is joining The Expendables 3. The tweet follows an open-question from Sly about having Mel Gibson direct the third installment in the action franchise.

Since wrapping the Blade trilogy back in 2004, Snipes has been starring mainly in direct-to-home video titles, with the exception of Brooklyn's Finest in 2009 and Game of Death in 2010.

Snipes was released from prison on April 2 and placed under home confinement following his 2008 conviction on tax crimes. The actor belonged to a group that was at odds with the government's right to collect taxes. He failed to file returns for at least a decade and owed millions of dollars in back taxes.

With the tax issues behind him, are you excited to see Snipes join The Expendables? Do you think he'll play a good guy or a villain?
