Groundhog Day - Funniest movie I ever saw with the best living happily ever-after ending

His fantasy comes true of being able to do whatever he wanted with no consequences was the funniest part of the movie. I laughed so hard in some of those scenes that my laugh would run out of breath as I was still silently convulsing with laughter. Wife was worried at first because I had tears coming down and shaking silently with laughter. It never gets old as I watch it again and again over the years and still react the same and I have a high-boredom setting and hate repeats and usually wonder how anyone can buy movies to save.
To me the morale of the story was that the fantasy is unsatisfying over the longrun as so well shown in the movie as he was miserable while able to do whatever he wanted. An "Oh what's the use experience" with no challenge and no meaning to it all.
His life turned around when he started to improve himself by gaining skills, helping others and making friends who loved him and respected him. Then suddenly the things he really wanted were his.
