    Earthquake

We attended a screening of the 1974 Universal classic, "Earthquake" introduced by actress, Geneviève Bujold at the Egyptian theater which was fully setup with "Sensurround Sound" (Wow was it soooo cool) .

Breifly meeting Geneviève Bujold was great too because she had so much energy and enthusiasm. Her moments in the film were really great especially
her support of Charelston Heston's role establishing their character's relationships and setting up the drama.

It was a sellout over 400 filled this awesome historic theater, perhaps the best popcorn anywhere.

I saw this movie in 1974 and this screening sure brought back memeories of those emotion packed action films of that era.

In Earthquake, all the many characters are established in the film that all come together at that big moment in the story much like the "Best Film", "Crash" did
    just a few years ago.

The special effects of this movie was so awesome too and it was state of the art
    during that time period.

    Earthquake is An Event.....

I was this first run in 1974 and stayed to see it twice. The special effects were ground breaking for it's day. Sensurround was awesome too, you felt you were there. One of my favorites movies. An all star cast; Charlton Heston, Ava Garder, Lorne Greene, Genieve Bujold, Richard Roundtree, Marjoe Gortner, Barry Sullivan, Lloyd Nolan and Victoria Principal (her pre-Dallas days). So glad it was finally released on dvd in Sensurround but unfortunately no extras. Hopefully one day Universal will release a really nice dvd with extras.

    "Earthquake" in Sensurround.

I was only 11 when "Earthquake" came out. I saw it but not in a theatre equipped with Sensurround. Today, I finally saw it the way it was meant to be seen and loved it!
