    Christmas Carol 3D

It was great! I took my husband, son and daughter in law and 2 grandchildren =we all loved it! It was amazing in graphics and annimation. We truly enjoyed it - some parts were a little scary for the 8 yr old but the 5 yr old totally enjoyed it and just closed her eyes for the scary parts. (ie horses)

    Christmas Excitement for Grown-ups!

    by Pelican

Took my 8 and 10 year old to see CC in 3D today (opening weekend). 3D effects were absolutely incredible and definitely worth the price. The well-known story of Scrooge's redemption is retold brilliantly, with Jim Carrey as the miserable old grump and Gary Oldman as gentle Bob Cratchit.

I loved it, really I did, but it is a bit terrifying for a Disney film. My 8 year old covered her eyes several times, especially during the Ghost of Christmas Future sequence. I don't think it would be a good idea to take younger children; there are also numerous 3D effects that jump out of the screen from nowhere and scared the stew out of both my kids. Here's hoping we don't have nightmares at my house tonight.

But true to the Dickens classic, Scrooge is redeemed at the end and I left the theatre feeling his relief and the opportunity to seize the day.

    Great Holiday Movie!

Christmas Carol with Jim Carrey was much better than I expected. Other than one short action/adventure part (not to give anything away, I thought it just didn't belong) it captured the feel of the original novel, one of my holiday favorites. A word of caution, there are a few scarier scenes for the little ones and this is not Jim Carrey's typical slapstick humor. It is worth seeing just for the breathtaking animation, I was amazed.
