    Same Tim Burton Formula-

From the beginning of this movie, I couldn't tell if this was Sweeny Todd or Alice in Wonderland but it WASN'T either! Its a new movie from Tim Burton! Same cast, same special effects, same script. I like Tim Burton but paaleese do something new. I was bored to death after the first 5 minutes..

The movie was a departure from the original storyline of the TV series, but I very much enjoyed the new plot. The action was spectacular, the special effects were great, and the characters portrayed their parts magnificently.

A MUST SEE for any Dark Shadows fan.

Huh? Who are we supposed to care about?

I like Tim Burton as a director and I love Johnny Depp as an actor. But I did not really think the script worked. Who are we supposed to care about? The protagonist is an unapologetic killer. Ridiculous plot twists near the end move the story nowhere. Major plot points make no sense whatsoever. Foreshadowing and hints are completely abandoned. Maybe the writers quit half-way through and the script was finished by some ninth graders. ("Let's resolve all plot points and conflicts with super-duper fight scenes and blow stuff up!")

    Alice in Wonderland was better.
