Don't worry, Harry. You haven't been dethroned!

WHERE'S THE 3-D? If you want to see this movie, go to the 2-D! You can count on one hand the number of CHEAP 3-D effects this movie has. The plot takes great liberty w/ Greek mythology & the 1981 original- of which I'm a huge fan of! In one early scene Perseus picks up Bubo the (original?) mechanical owl and asks, "What's this?" He's told, "Put it down. We won't be needing that." That seems to be the theme with this remake. Don't expect much from the original. New characters- a demi-god Perseus has attraction to, scorpion-camels, a BLACK Pegasus, & a "Wookie-like" Phantom companion. No romance with Andromeda. NO gods except for Zeus and Hades. Aphrodite, Athena, Ceres- all gone! The only "god" interaction is between Zeus & Hades. The movie has a heavy tone, dark colors, & the battle scenes have a video game-like quality to them. The movie kept my attention. The acting & cinematography is decent, but had more hope for this film. I left the theater thinking, "Is that all there is??"

  • Oh No!

Don't spend a dime on that garbage

I never write a "oh no" review but after spending $3.00 xtra for 3D and rushing to the theater to see a remake of a classic with big name stars I was so furious that I had been cheated. The movie is not a 3D movie - it is a foggy haze at best. The fight scenes are terrible and incomplete. You don't care about the characters - no character development and the lines were written by a 5th grader - short and with no emotion. I have seen better original movies on sci fi on Saturday night. The public should not reward Hollywood for this cheap 3D hoax. Release the Cracken on them !!!!

    "CRASH" of the Titans 3D

The GOOD: Well, it's certainly reminiscent of the 80's version and the acting was good also. I liked the CG(computer generated) creatures and characters; and going from CG to filmed and visa-versa was seemless(especially the scorpions).

The BAD: Since it was MADE into 3D, not filmed in 3D, the majority of the film was very DARK. I don't mean dark as in sinister, ominous, foreboding, or cryptic; I mean dark as in dim, lightless, shadowy...similar to wearing WELDING goggles during a moonless midnight nature walk!!

The UGLY: I'm very sorry to say that I can't think of anything that stands out as far as 3D. I thought that since I didn't see AVATAR, the 3D in this film would be great. WRONG!! The darkness had THAT MUCH of an effect on the whole movie as far as I'm concerned. I found myself watching much of the movie peering OVER the 3D glasses!!

Plot, characters, acting, CGI gets 2 thumbs up.
The 3D aspect gets 2 thumbs down.

DON'T BOTHER WITH THE 3D!!! Just see the 2D.
