Synopsis

WALK ON THE WILD SIDE, 1962, Sony Repertory, 114 min. A campy masterpiece directed by Edward Dmytryk, co-written by John Fante from Nelson Algren’s novel. Depression era Laurence Harvey hitchhikes to New Orleans, runs into homeless Jane Fonda and café owner, Anne Baxter, then finds lost love, Capucine, working in the Doll House, a brothel run by lesbian madam, Barbara Stanwyck.
