Here are three short films featuring the Tramp (Charles Chaplin) . In ''A Dog's Life,'' the Tramp's hardscrabble existence on the streets is compared to that of a canine named Scraps, whose name befits his meals. In ''Shoulder Arms,'' Chaplin is an American soldier in World War I who manages to milk some comedy out of the depressed conditions of trench warfare. And in ''The Pilgrim,'' Chaplin appears in a case of mistaken identity as an escaped prisoner who impersonates a town's minister.
