A typical Chick Flick

Everything you'd expect of a typical teen chick flick. Because it is a Karn Johar movie, you get to see more 'stuff' that pleases all the girls. The acting was not bad. They've tried to incorporate a mockumentary-style, which has failed dramatically. Songs and Choreography were good. It's interesting to see nineteen year-olds kissing on the big screen. There is a Harry Potter style competition involved, but nothing that's as awesome. It is two and a half hours of pure mindless entertainment.

I loved this movie! It has a good story line, great songs, amazing picturization, and 3 incredible debutantes. I'm surprised this is their first movie! It's a great teen movie. I am definitely going to go see this movie again!

I love this movie, very entertaining from the beginning to the end. Has a bit of everything in it. I strongly recommend. Got to give the actors credit for being their first movie and a job well done.

Remember the feeling when you bet on something and from the very first moment you knew that you are going to loose it and just because you put your money, you had to stay till the end....My experience with "Student of the Year" my friends.... Out of the three dumb actors, Alia Bhatt's presence makes sense as she is the daughter of Mahesh Bhatt, but the rest two must had to pass thru Karan Johar's approval stamp before getting the movie. Hats off to K'Jo, the director who has successfully shown on numerous occasion that he knows nothing about directing and gives more priority to shoe BRANDS than good stories...
