Bothered by his troubled adult life, an American artist in Paris looks back to his youth for the answers to his current situation. He reflects back on his funny and sometimes painful childhood days growing up in Greenwich Village in the 1970's. He also experienced his first taste of love, with some advice given to him by a woman named Lady who was incarcerated at the Women's House of Detention, also known as the 'House of D.'
