Updated June 5 2020: The theater has informed us that they plan to implement the following procedures. Please note that the theater may have changed its planned procedures since this date. For the most up to date description of the theater’s planned procedures, please visit the theater’s website.

Since March 17, the day we were closed, Atlas Cinemas has been working on reopening plans and safety protocols for our staff and guests. We are a local, family owned theater business that believes in our community, and understand that there is a lot riding on us reopening successfully. We do not take our responsibility lightly. We are continuously evaluating local, state and federal guidelines to assure that we provide a safe, clean and fun atmosphere for all. As always, Atlas Cinemas is committed to our guests, employees and local community. We plan to provide you with the safest, best experience and look forward to seeing you again at the movies.

Here is a list of basic safety procedures at Atlas Cinemas:

  • Hand Washing- All staff will continuously and properly wash hands in all aspects of service. Frequency will be increased going forward. As always, we provide plenty of handwashing stations and supplies for use.
  • Surface Disinfecting- High-contact surfaces such as door handles, counter tops, faucets, etc. will be cleaned and disinfected a minimum of every 30 minutes. We will also continue to deep clean auditoriums, bathrooms, and surfaces nightly. Seats, cupholders and railings will be wiped down regularly and nightly.
  • Safe Social Distancing- We will have and maintain appropriate physical distancing as recommended by the CDC and Health District. Signage will be in place to help guide guests, and staff will be proactive in implementation. Auditoriums will have lowered capacities to allow our guests to spread out, and we ask our guests to help us in maintaining social distancing in the auditoriums. We ask that groups sit at least 6 feet away from other groups and groups be limited to family that came together. Please respect the health and wellbeing of others at all times.
  • Stay at Home if you are sick- All staff will be screened daily for wellness, and as is the normal policy, will be required to stay home if they are sick. We also ask that our guests stay home if they do not feel well.
  • Protective Personal Equipment- All staff will wear masks while on duty at the theaters. In addition to handwashing stations for staff, we will also provide hand sanitizer and gloves for use. All staff will be required to use these items properly. We have installed additional protection like plexiglass shielding at service stations. This is to provide the extra layer of protection for our guests and staff.
  • All guests are encouraged to purchase tickets online if possible, to cut down on contact points. Staff cash and credit handling will be limited to reduce risk and exposure, as food handlers will not be taking the orders. These functions will be separated to cut down on contact points as well.

Please help us keep Atlas Cinemas a safe, clean and fun environment for everyone.

During our 3-month closure, countless hours have been spent working on a plan to safely re-open and once again provide the first class entertainment experience our valued guests have come to expect. Nothing is more important to us than the safety and comfort of our guests and employees. With that in mind, you will likely notice the following changes when you next visit a Bow Tie Cinemas theater:

  • We will ask that if you have experienced any symptoms of illness of any kind in the 14 days prior to your visit, that you please refrain from entering the theater. If you have purchased tickets or concession items in advance but don’t feel that you should enter the theater for this or any other reason, we will gladly issue a full no questions asked refund through our touchless process. Just email your refund request to safecinema@bowtiecinemas.com and we will process it electronically
  • Bow Tie Cinemas employees will be wearing face coverings and practicing social distancing.
  • Guests will be asked to adhere to applicable requirements and guidelines for the use of face coverings.

  • Show times will be spaced farther apart to facilitate enhanced cleaning of auditoriums between shows.

Cinemark

Updated June 19, 2020: The theater has informed us that they plan to implement the following procedures. Please note that the theater may have changed its planned procedures since this date. For the most up to date description of the theater’s planned procedures, please visit the theater’s website.

As we begin thoughtfully reopening theatres, the health and well-being of our guests, employees and communities is a top priority. You will notice greatly enhanced cleanliness, sanitizing and safety measures at every step of your movie-going experience. To find out about the many ways we’re protecting your safety, continue reading below.

CLEANLINESS: NOW SHOWING EVERYWHERE

Your theatre has been thoroughly sanitized using products identified by the EPA to be EFFECTIVE IN ELIMINATING COVID-19. Here’s how we’re enhancing our cleanliness & sanitizing standards.

THOROUGHLY SANITIZED AT LEAST EVERY 30 MINUTES: Cinemark already takes significant precautions to ensure your safety — now we have added an extra level of cleaning & sanitizing that meets or exceeds CDC and WHO guidelines. This includes using products identified by the EPA to be effective in eliminating COVID-19 throughout the theatre.

  • Concession stands, kitchens, restaurants and bars, including countertops, food-prep areas, drink stations, napkin dispensers and check-out areas.
  • Restrooms, are extensively disinfected every morning and sanitized every 30 minutes during operating hours, including door handles, toilets, handles, sinks, countertops, soap dispensers, faucets and baby-changing stations.
  • Other high-touch areas throughout the theatre, including door handles, handrails, self-ticketing kiosks and box-office countertops.

AUDITORIUMS DISINFECTED EVERY MORNING: Before you set foot into our auditoriums, rest assured that your seat and surrounding areas have been carefully prepared for you. Each morning, all auditoriums are extensively disinfected using pressurized sprayer equipment to reach all seats, handrails, armrests, tables, footrests and cup holders. This fast-drying and non-toxic method allows us to thoroughly and evenly apply products identified by the EPA to be effective in eliminating COVID-19.

AMPLE SUPPLY OF HAND SANITIZER & SEAT WIPES: Cinemark is proactively placing hand sanitizers at the box office and active concession stand registers. Seat wipe dispensers have also been added, centrally located in hallways outside the auditoriums.

IMPROVING OVERALL AIR QUALITY: Cinemark is substantially raising the fresh-air rate of our building HVAC systems. We have added a morning purge cycle that increases the total volume of fresh, outside air flowing into our theatres. Additionally, we are now utilizing our supply fans constantly while occupied, allowing us to bring even more fresh air from outdoors to our guests day and night.

EXPANDED USE OF HIGH-EFFICIENCY FILTERS: We are now using vacuums equipped with HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filters identified to be effective in trapping at least 99.97 percent of microscopic particles, including COVID-19.

WE’VE TRAINED FOR THIS

All Cinemark employees are trained in enhanced cleaning, sanitizing & safety measures

MANDATORY PERSONAL PROTECTIVE WEAR:All employees are provided with facial masks and gloves to wear during their shifts. Frequent handwashing and changing of gloves are required.

ADDING “FIRST 5 MINUTES” WELLNESS CHECK-INS: Cinemark theatre employees now have the heightened responsibility of completing a check-in prior to their shift, in which the supervisor will ask about their wellness, complete a temperature check and remind them of any protocol updates. Any employee who has a fever or feels ill will not be permitted to work but will be paid a minimum of 2 hours for that shift. The employee may also be eligible for sick pay, reporting pay, PTO and other paid benefits.

NEW, ENHANCED TRAINING: All theatre employees are taking part in enhanced training on cleaning, sanitizing and food handling. Additionally, employees are participating in mandatory huddles at the beginning of each shift to reiterate our cleaning and safety protocols.

ASSIGNING A “CHIEF CLEAN & SAFETY MONITOR”: Each Cinemark theatre will have a Chief Clean & Safety Monitor on duty during all operating hours to ensure the highest standards of safety, physical distancing, cleanliness and sanitizing.

GUEST SAFETY CHECKLIST

We can’t wait to have you back and once again share in the power of great cinematic storytelling on the big screen. Here are some of the ways we’re protecting your safety — and ways you can help.

REDUCED AUDITORIUM CAPACITIES & STAGGERED SHOWTIMES: For the time being, overall auditorium capacities are being reduced for your safety and to maintain compliance with all local and state guidelines. When you purchase movie tickets at Cinemark, we now automatically block the seats adjacent to your party. In addition, we are staggering showtimes to allow more time for guests to exit and prevent overcrowding in our restrooms, halls and lobbies. This also allows employees more time to clean and sanitize between movies. Guests are encouraged to practice physical distancing when entering and exiting the auditorium.

CONTACTLESS TICKETING: We encourage you to purchase tickets online, which will allow for a more contactless in-theatre experience. If you prefer to purchase tickets in a theatre, please consider using a contactless-enabled credit card or your preferred mobile wallet payment type. Good news — we have also streamlined our in-theatre ticket verification process to minimize contact and get you to your movie faster. Guests who purchase tickets online via our website or app (or a third-party provider such as Fandango or Atom Tickets) are no longer required to also carry a printed ticket. Simply show your ticket confirmation QR code to the usher at the ticket podium to scan. Guests purchasing tickets at the box office or theatre kiosk will still receive a printed ticket, however it no longer needs to be handed to our ushers for tearing. Just show your ticket and be on your way.

ASKING GUESTS FOR COOPERATION & PATIENCE: As we navigate this new normal, Cinemark is taking every precaution to ensure your safety — and we’re asking our guests to do the same. Please help us by considering the following: Dispose of all trash, seat wipes and unwanted protective gear in proper bins upon leaving the auditorium, which helps limit indirect contact and also gives our employees time for enhanced sanitizing. Please practice physical distancing of at least 6 feet from fellow guests and employees in all areas of the theatre — including entrances, lobbies, concession areas, restrooms, hallways, restaurants, game rooms, lounge areas and auditoriums. Physical distancing markers have been placed on floors throughout the theatre as a reminder.

WELLNESS OF GUESTS: Any guest who feels unwell, has a fever, and/or has any COVID-19-like symptom is asked to please refrain from entering the theatre, and instead, request a contactless refund online at cinemark.com/guest-services, in our app or call 1-800-CINEMARK.

USE OF PERSONAL PROTECTIVE WEAR: Cinemark requires guests to wear face masks where locally mandated, and we strongly encourage all guests to do so, even where not required. Wearing a mask is especially important in all common areas of the theatre, such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, restaurants, lounges, game rooms and concession stands. (Please note: Facial masks should be designed specifically for medical and/or protective use. Costume-type masks that cover more than the nose and mouth are not allowed.)

CASH EXCHANGE: To help reduce potential contact between cash and food-handling areas, cash payments will not be accepted for snack purchases. However, each theatre will have a designated area where cash will be accepted, and gift cards will be available. As always, gift cards are redeemable at the concession stand.

HAPPY SNACKING

Moviegoing is a treasured global pastime — and so is enjoying your favorite movie snacks. At Cinemark, we’re taking every precaution for your safety, including at our concession stands and food-service areas.

CONCESSION & KITCHEN AREAS SANITIZED AT LEAST EVERY 30 MINUTES: As always, the safety and quality of our food and beverage products are a top priority at Cinemark. For added safety, we have increased our cleaning frequency and elevated our procedures, using products identified by the EPA to be effective in eliminating COVID-19.

EASILY ACCESSIBLE HAND SANITIZER: For your convenience, we are now placing hand sanitizers near active concession stand registers, drink stations and easy access points throughout the theatre.

FOOD HANDLING & PROTECTIVE WEAR: As always, Cinemark follows stringent standards for food handling and safety. As an added precaution, employees are now provided with facial masks and gloves to wear while working. Frequent handwashing and changing of gloves are also required.

PHYSICAL DISTANCING: Guests and employees are asked to practice physical distancing by maintaining at least 6 feet of space from other guests and employees. Physical distancing markers have been placed on floors as a reminder, and we will continually monitor overall traffic flow and adjust procedures as needed to alleviate congestion.

PLEXIGLASS SCREENS ADDED: In areas of the theatre where proper physical distancing between employees and guests isn’t otherwise possible, such as concession stand registers, interior box offices and usher podiums, plexiglass barrier screens may be used for added safety.

SEALED FOR YOUR PROTECTION: Self-serve condiments have been replaced with individually sealed packets or containers, which are available upon request from our cashiers. This includes ketchup, mustard, relish and mayo. Additionally, only individually wrapped straws and plastic cutlery are being used in our theatres.

  • CASHLESS PAYMENTS ONLY FOR SNACK PURCHASES: For the safety of all guests and employees, cash payments will not be accepted for snack purchases. However, a designated area within each theatre will accept cash and will have gift cards available.
  • As always, gift cards are redeemable at the concession stand. CONTACTLESS PAY: Cinemark is now strongly encouraging contactless payment methods, such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, and any credit card with the contactless pay logo (shown below), when possible. Receiving a printed receipt is optional.

POPCORN & DRINK FREE REFILL PROGRAM NOT AVAILABLE: To reduce contact points, popcorn and drink refills will not be offered at this time. Instead, previously refillable sizes can be purchased at reduced prices without refills.

ANNUAL REFILLABLE CUP & POPCORN TUB: To limit contact points, we are no longer able to accept annual refillable cups and popcorn tubs. However, if you purchased our 2020 refillable cup or tub, we will happily honor your discount and provide an equivalent single-use container. Each time you come to Cinemark, please bring your refillable cup and/or tub and show them at the concession stand to receive your discount. To make up for the time we were temporarily closed this year, we are extending the valid dates of your discount through March 31, 2021.

SELF-SERVE BULK CANDY STATIONS CLOSED: At this time, Cinemark is not offering self-serve bulk candy, but packed candy favorites remain available.

CONCESSION STAND MENU: As always, you can enjoy Cinemark’s fresh-popped popcorn, ice-cold Coca-Cola products and the majority of our most popular candies and snacks. Please be aware that some concession items may not be offered at this time. We’re working hard to bring back all your favorites, like Pizza Hut pizza — coming soon.

RESTAURANTS & BARS: Our restaurants and bars will re-open when we are certain all necessary protocols are in place and also in accordance with local guidelines, which means some dining options inside your theatre will likely not open right away In the meantime, limited menus may be offered temporarily at some locations, including beer, wine & frozen cocktails.

Phase 1 Of Re-opening For City Base Entertainment

Standards and safety procedures for guests and staff

Welcome Back

We asked the guest to participate in our safety procedures and without your participation it makes our success going forward much more difficult. We wanna make sure that everyone has a safe, fun movie going experience and make sure that our staff is protected at the same time.

If You Feel Sick

If you have any symptoms don't risk it. If you are sick please think about others just like you would want others to think about you. Stay home. If you've purchased a ticket we will work with you when you get better and reimburse you.

PPE Also Known As Personal Protective Equipment

The governors orders do not require Texans to wear face masks, but we strongly recommend that everybody wears a face mask where you cannot properly social distance yourself by 6 feet. When you're in the movie you will probably take your face mask off to eat your concessions and enjoy your movie, that is fine. Please be considerate if you happen to cough from accidentally drinking your soda the wrong way. Please be considerate and put on your mask and go somewhere where you can clear your throat. We don't want to make any other guests feel nervous during this time. We hope you understand.

We will have money procedures put in place with safety procedures to limit the transfer of contaminated money by not recycling money received by guest to give to another guest. Employees will be able to sanitize their hands or gloves in between transactions if they receive cash. We do recommend everyone use a non-contact pay method such as Apple Pay, Samsung pay or credit card /debit card. For those cash transactions we will have designated areas assigned for this.

Also, if you would like to purchase a gift card you are welcome to do so. City Base is equipped with front facing card readers so our employees do not have to touch your card, you simply insert the chip or swipe your gift card with with no human contact.

Upon Your Arrival Into City Base Cinema. Here are the following protocols for each area.

Entering The Theater Pre-Screening

We will have a member of our team physically greet you and pre-screen every guest and every employee that comes in the theater. Note: Every employee will need to go through a pre-screening process to check on their wellness and to be in compliant with the Governors orders upon entry. Our team member will ask you a couple simple questions and show you some signs to make sure you don’t have any symptoms or to make sure you have not been in contact with anyone who has the COVID-19 virus. If you question yourself at all, we will kindly ask you to consider others and will give you a refund for another day.

Ticketing And Box Office

We will be opening up our box office and all tickets can be purchased digitally and outside of our box office. You have to practice social distancing while standing in line 6 feet apart from one another for outside purchasing of tickets. We will have door greeters to help minimize your contact with high traffic, hard touch surfaces such as door handles. We will also be offering sanitizer by our kiosks, that will be frequently cleaned in between transactions. If you use any of the apps you can also scan using the barcode reader so you don't have to touch anything.

Bar

We will have a designated line just for the bar. There will be stickers on the floor to maintain a 6 foot social distancing. We will also display all our offerings on our bar TVs so you don't have to come in contact with any menus or hard surfaces. Our bartenders will not handle any sort of payment but simply make your drink. We will have a designated cashier to handle payments.

Concession

We will have lines separated by social distance and markers to practice social distance for guest. We will have a cashier that is designated to only taking your order and not touching any food products. Back bars will be put into place to prep and serve your food and drinks. You will then pick up your order at another section of the concession stand away from the cashier. If you do qualify for a refill we will not take your old cup or bag. We will simply replace your cup and your bag with a new one. Once food is passed to a Guest it cannot go back into the concession stand. We will simply ask you to throw it away and if we need to replace it, then the manager on duty will assist accordingly. All condiments such as salt, butter, utensils and napkins will be given upon request. Food items will still be picked up at our hot food window. We ask that you please practice social distancing while you wait for your order.

Movie Theater Ushers

Our team members are going to work really hard to make sure that we put every sanitation measure given to us by our state and local government and The CDC in place for your safety and theirs. Our team will be sanitizing every hard surface such as handrails, door handles, seats and any other surfaces our guest can come in contact with. Our team members will also be cleaning the restrooms frequently. They will clean restrooms every 20 minutes and sanitize all hard surfaces. Our team will have designated sanitizing solution and disinfectant that will not be cross contaminated into other areas such as theaters, concession stand or restrooms. We are also thinking ahead and providing larger gaps in between shows to give more than adequate time for our team to clean and sanitize the theater properly.

Management team

Our managers have made a sworn commitment to make sure that all these procedures are put into place every single time. They will be going through the facility to make sure that the employees are practicing all procedures and conducting good hygiene. If anybody that is not participating or not helping us follow the guidelines given to us by our federal, local and State government, the manager will proceed with actions necessary to resolve the issue. The manager on duty has the final decision to rectify the situation. The managers are working hard to make sure that the cinema and the industry comes back strong and healthy. Anyone, including our staff that does not comply with our policies will be asked to leave. We take this extremely serious. If you have any questions or concerns you can always email us at info@gotocitybase.com

Arcade Room

Unfortunately, the arcade will remain closed until we can figure out a safer way to clean each game properly and frequently per each use. We will keep you updated as soon as we have a solution or the situation changes with the virus.

Please note that the above reflects what the theater has made available to us as of the “Updated” date you see above. The theater’s actual practices may vary from the above or what they describe on their website. If you do not see your theater’s policy list here, please visit their website direct.

Updated June 26 2020: The theater has informed us that they plan to implement the following procedures. Please note that the theater may have changed its planned procedures since this date. For the most up to date description of the theater’s planned procedures, please visit the theater’s website.

We’re looking forward to seeing you again! We have instituted the following health and safety measures to ensure your moviegoing experience is a fun and safe one. We’ll also continue to update protocols based on the latest CDC and government recommendations. Here’s what to expect when you visit:

Limited Seating

Auditorium capacity will be limited to 50% with a 50 person cap based on state guidelines. Staggered showtimes will help eliminate lobby congestion.

Distance between Groups

Auditoriums with luxury recliner seating:

Rows are already more than six feet apart, but leave two seats between your party and other guests when reserving your seats. We recommend reserving online prior to arrival.

Auditoriums with our standard high-back seating:

Every other row will be blocked off and we ask that guests leave three seats between parties. We also recommend reserving online prior to arrival.

Increased Service

Gloved and masked staff members will assist guests to eliminate high-touch tasks like self-serve drinks and popcorn topping. New containers will be provided for free refills.

Vigilant Sanitation

Showtimes are staggered with longer intermissions so we can disinfect seats after every showtime. We have increased cleaning procedures and dedicated staff members focused on the task. Hand sanitizer is also available for guests.

Improved Air Quality

The fresh air intake of our HVAC systems have been increased 50% to 100%. We are transitioning from commercial grade air filters that trap 90% of particles up three grades to one that traps over 95% of particles. Our vacuums have always used HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filters that trap at least 99.7 percent of microscopic particles.

Employee Screening

All employees must pass a health and temperature screening prior to their shift. They wear masks and gloves throughout their shift.

Guest Guidelines

We’re excited to see you, but we ask that you’re considerate of our employees and fellow guests by following our requirements:

  • Stay home if you or others around you have been sick.
  • Wear a mask until seated.
  • Follow posted signs and physical distancing markings.
  • Consider purchasing tickets online.
  • Use touch-free payment in the theatre when possible.

Please note that the above reflects what the theater has made available to us as of the “Updated” date you see above. The theater’s actual practices may vary from the above or what they describe on their website.

D'Place Entertainment

Updated June 5 2020: The theater has informed us that they plan to implement the following procedures. Please note that the theater may have changed its planned procedures since this date. For the most up to date description of the theater’s planned procedures, please visit the theater’s website.

D’Place Entertainment is committed to maintaining safe, clean, and approachable facilities. The health and safety of employees and guests is our top priority.

It has been a few months since we were asked to close our doors in order to do our part in flattening the curve of COVID-19. When the time is right, we are committed to re-opening and offering you the safest and best entertainment experience possible.

We have missed you and are looking forward to your coming back! Rest assured, we are taking the responsibility of keeping our team and our guests safe which is why we are asking for your cooperation in doing your part to make sure that we do not have to close our doors again because, as it would be for many small businesses, a second shutdown would be catastrophic to our cinema's existence.

So, please read and understand the following procedures and policies we will be operating with when we reopen. We invite your comments and suggestions as we all continue to learn the best ways to go about in this new normal.

Tickets

We have always offered online ticketing with a lower base ticket price online than at the box office but now more than ever we encourage you to buy your tickets online. This will limit your interaction with our staff and help you get to your seat quicker. Should you decide to buy your ticket in person at our box office, please understand that you will pay more and the process will be slower. We thank you in advance for your patience.

Seating

Due to our stringent safety protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are limiting the number of tickets sold to each performance and requiring that guests leave 2 empty seats on either side of their party (the aisle count as 2 seats). This policy should still allow for plenty of good seating options to still be available for our guests.

All seating will be designated as general seating, so please arrive a little early in order to find seating that is properly spaced from other parties. We ask that guests be respectful of the empty seat rule that management will be strictly enforcing. Any guest who does not wish to comply or is not happy with the seating placement recommended by our staff will be provided a refund and asked to leave and return to a different showtime.

Masks

For the foreseeable future, all our staff will be wearing masks to help limit possible contamination. We kindly require that you do the same. Should you not have a mask, we will have them available for purchase. Guests will NOT be required to keep the mask on during the time they are seated in the auditorium with their party, however we ask that you do wear a mask in all common areas, like the lobby and the restrooms and as you arrive and exit the facility.

Guests will not be admitted without a mask and guests who again choose not to comply with this safety measure will be provided a refund and asked to return at a later date when masks are no longer required.

Snacks

We will continue to serve you with our amazing popcorn, ice cream, pizza, and other concession items that you know and love. There will be marks on the floor in front of the concession stand in order to maintain social distancing while waiting in line. Please respect those markings for everyone’s safety. At this time, we will be unable to provide refills on our Large Popcorns and Drinks. As an extra incentive, the price of the Large Popcorn will be adjusted to match our Medium Popcorn Price during the time that we are unable to offer refills.

Cleaning

In addition to our usual, aggressive cleaning procedures we are now implementing a number of other sanitizing procedures including frequently sanitizing high-contact surfaces such as door handles, countertops, bathroom stalls, faucets, railings, etc.

We will also be adding additional time between showings so that each auditorium can be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after each screening. Employees will be on hand to hear your concerns about safety and sanitation in our theater. Feel free to reach out!

Health

We will be monitoring the health of our staff to ensure they feel healthy before they come to work and also training staff on best practices for protecting themselves and others as outlined by OSHA and the CDC. We are also asking that you too stay home if, in the last 14 days you have experienced any flu-like symptoms or have been exposed to anyone who has been experiencing symptoms.

While we will not be doing temperature readings for customers, we do expect everyone to take their civic responsibility seriously, and please stay home if you feel sick.

Risk

We remind all guests that there is an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death by visiting our cinema, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

Courtesy

We hope you, like us, recognize these are unprecedented times and that the challenges we are facing can only be overcome by working together to minimize the risks and help everyone feel safe.

We remind you that all our guests and staff will have a different level of anxiety about being in this communal space so please let's all be courteous and patient with one another. We ask that you approach our staff with any concerns but also that you follow our staff and management teams’ instructions in regards to what is acceptable in our space.

We will provide ticket refunds (not for snacks) to any guest, at any time, who becomes uncomfortable with anything about their visit. We also reserve the right to ask any guest who would rather not follow our rules and instructions to leave the facility.

All these procedures and policies are subject to change as the situation evolves. We will make sure to keep you informed of any changes to our safety procedures.

Should you have any questions or concerns, our staff will be available in the lobby to assist you. We look forward to welcoming you again to our theater!!

Emagine has taken great measures to ensure a clean and comfortable movie-going experience for its guests. The health of its employees and its movie-goers is a top priority for Emagine, and accordingly, that goal was the underpinning in developing its guidelines. Emagine looks forward to again serving its guests and welcoming back its teammates.

  • Guests returning to Emagine will notice quite a few strategic measures taken in accordance of CDC, WHO and local authority health department guidelines.
  • Prior to opening, Emagine has done an overall deep cleaning of the entire building with CDC approved products. This cleaning regimen will become common practice and performed continuously at all Emagine locations.
  • Guests are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance which will allow them to select seats and provide contactless ticketing.
  • Before entering the theatre, there will be signs asking guests to refrain from entering the theatre if they have experienced any symptoms of COVID19. Emagine is also requesting that all guests respect social distancing guidelines and encourage the wearing of masks by guests while in the lobby and restrooms. In addition, Emagine will provide masks for any guests, upon request.
  • Emagine lobbies will have directional signage and graphics to remind guests to remain 6 ft apart at the box-office, concession stand, self-serve soda station, restrooms, and queueing lines. Hand sanitizer stations will be available at numerous locations throughout the building.
  • Restrooms will have restrictions on capacity and have signage to remind guests to socially distance while inside. In addition to arranging furniture to respect social distancing in the lobbies, Emagine has also adjusted the auditorium seating to allow for restricted capacities that are mindful of social distancing guidelines.
  • As guests enter the auditoriums to find their seats, there will be one staircase to go up and another staircase for those leaving the auditorium, and one-way aisle traffic will be encouraged.
  • There will be increased time frame between all showings to allow for thorough and intense cleaning between all showtimes. Employees will also clean and disinfect high traffic areas more frequently and exit doors will be propped open to reduce common touchpoints.

By visiting Emagine, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19. Emagine has also adopted a return to work action plan with health and cleanliness protocols for employees that will include wearing masks and gloves while working. Safety Measures for Reopening

It has been over three months since we closed our doors to do our part in lowering and flattening the curve of Covid-19. During this time, our every thought has been dedicated to re-opening and offering you the safest and best experience possible. We have missed you and are looking forward to your coming back! Please be assured, we are taking the responsibility of keeping you safe while offering a wonderful experience.

We are working hard to take every step to keep our guests and team members safe and healthy as we prepare to reopen. Moviegoesrs were the original social distancers, always opting to sit apart from strangers, so we are all pros at this!

Here are the measures we have taken to ensure everyone’s safety:

  • Social Distancing: We are reopening our auditoriums at 50% capacity to ensure everyone’s safety. Please leave at least 3 empty seats on either side of you or your party, in addition to the same distance in front and behind you. We will ensure that people are seated directly or in front or behind parties. We will monitor all theaters with our ushers to assist before each movie begins.
  • Face Masks: We will all be weating masks to minimize exposure. We will require guests to wear masks until seated. Please wear your mask in all common areas including the lobby, restrooms and when going to and from your seat
  • Concessions: We will continue to serve you with the best popcorn and other concession item that you know and love. There will be marks on the floor in front of the concession stand in order to maintain social distancing while waiting in line. Please respect those marking for everyone’s safety. Staff will be wearing gloves, when appropriate.
  • Cleaning: We will be sanitizing high- contact surfaces frequently. This includes all door handles, counter tops, bathroom stalls, faucets, railings, etc. Seating will also be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized at the end of each screening. Fridley Theatres

Updated June 5, 2020: The theater has informed us that they plan to implement the following procedures. Please note that the theater may have changed its planned procedures since this date. For the most up to date description of the theater’s planned procedures, please visit the theater’s website.

The COVID-19 outbreak has impacted every aspect of our lives, from the way we live and work to the way we interact with others, purchase basic necessities, and spend leisure time.

As we re-open our theatres, we recognize that we will be operating under a new sense of normalcy.

During this period, we want to assure our guests that we have taken every necessary precaution to combat the spread of the virus in our facilities. Our top priority is to protect the health and safety of our guests, employees, and communities.

Therefore, we have developed a contract for our team members and our valued customers. The Fridley Theatres' Commitment to our Communities agreement represents a promise to Iowans and Nebraskans that we will diligently uphold our sanitation and cleanliness protocols. It is our vow that we take this virus seriously and that we will make every effort to ensure the safety of each individual in our theatres. Simply, it is our commitment to community.

For our employees, the pledge will serve as an obligation and reminder to adhere strictly to all COVID-19 policies/procedures. For our guests, it asks them to make small sacrifices for the greater good, and it affords them a sense of confidence as they enter our complexes. When this notice is on display at a Fridley Theatre, it means that we are working hard to deliver a clean, comfortable, and safe movie-going experience.

The following list of measures, developed in conjunction with recommendations from the WHO, CDC, National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO), and the National Restaurant Association (NRA), is the foundation for our broader COVID-19 policy. It outlines the basics for what a guest can expect when they visit one of our locations.

Ultimately, we believe in the ability of our managers to implement and enforce these items, and we believe in the selflessness and care of movie-goers to stand up for one another. Welcome back to the movies!

Standard Safety Measures

  • We’ll space out our movie start times to reduce congestion in entrances, lobby areas, hallways, and restrooms.
  • We will have three-hour intervals for each showing in each auditorium, which will afford us ample cleaning time.
  • Instead of exchanging and tearing admission tickets at Door (where applicable), we’ll simply ask the guest to show us their ticket.

In the Lobby:

  • Tables and chairs will be spaced out or removed entirely
  • Enforce traffic patterns that promote social distancing, creating specific entrance and exit areas, whenever possible.
  • Self-serve drink stations will be closed, where applicable.
  • Arcade spaces will be closed, where applicable.

At the Concession Stand:

  • Access to hand sanitizer.
  • Enforce floor markers, ropes/poles, and signage to establish six-foot intervals for waiting lines.
  • Spacing employees by utilizing every other selling terminal.
  • Require that employees work from only their terminal and stay within their personal workspace.
  • Utilize wrapped straws for all drink purchases.
  • Refill Policy:
    • We will allow only one refill for popcorn, in which a new tub and lid will be issued.
    • We will not allow drink refills at this time.
    • We will remind guests of this policy change at the time of purchase.
  • We will clean and disinfect countertops, computers, and credit card readers frequently.
  • We will clean and disinfect self-serve candy and bottle stations frequently and re-stock frequently to reduce contamination.
  • We will clean and disinfect condiment stations frequently.

Restrooms:

  • We will clean and disinfect all surfaces frequently.
  • We will close every other urinal and stall to encourage distancing.
  • We will recommend a reduced occupancy in the space.
  • Auditorium:

  • We will clean and disinfect every seat, arm rest, cup holder, and table prior to opening for the day, and do the same for all occupied seats between showings.
  • An usher will be assigned to each auditorium.
    • This individual will be responsible for enforcing our checkerboard seating pattern.
    • He or she will be available to wipe down surfaces a second time, should a guest request this service.
    • He or she should make a mental or physical note of where guests are seated. This way, we can more efficiently clean only the occupied seats in the theatre between showings.
  • Clean and disinfect assistive listening devices after each use, per our usual guidelines.
  • How much are movie tickets?

We will be honoring Bargain Day pricing for all shows, every day for all movies that have been released this year or earlier.

Where should I purchase my movie tickets?

You can purchase your movie ticket at the box office of your local theatre, but we encourage you to purchase your tickets online for convenience and to help us maintain distancing! We ask that you limit your group to six people during our reopening phase.

Will cash be accepted at the theatres?

Yes, we will have a dedicated selling station at each theatre that will accept cash and gift cards. Credit and debit cards will be accepted at all other open selling stations.

Will large popcorns and large drinks still have free refills?

To limit contact, we will not be refilling large drinks. We will be refilling large popcorns once, but you will be given a new tub. Thank you for your understanding!

If I had a pass that expired while you were closed, can I still use it?

All passes that have an expiration date in 2020 will be honored for an additional 3 months after the expiration date listed on the pass or coupon.

For the most up to date description of the theater’s planned procedures, please visit the theater’s website.

COVID-19 has caused a challenge for people and businesses everywhere. We are open and trying to get back to normal, but it will be at least for a while, a very revised normal.

We recognize the concerns over COVID-19 here is what we have done to protect our customers:

    • Plexiglass barriers at all registers
    • Extensive dividers and social distance markers inside and outside
    • A complete detailed cleaning of our theater during shutdown
    • Hourly sanitizing of high touch areas
    • Updated theater cleaning and food service procedures
    • Masks and gloves used by all employees
    • The strong encouragement of masks for all customers
    • Seating blocked off to maintain social distance
    • We require two seats be left unoccupied between different groups
    • Capacity reduction to 25% of theater capacity per health department recommendations
    • Shut down of both water and soda fountains per health department recommendations
    • Hand sanitizer stations throughout our building

Even with all of these changes we do not guarantee the prevention of COVID-19 infection and customers are in our facility with that understanding. We are very happy to open and will implement all necessary protocols to prevent COVID-19 infection and ask all of our customers to respect the rules and their fellow patrons.

There is nothing quite like seeing it on the BIG screen and we appreciate you coming back to enjoy that unique experience at West Bend Cinema!!!

    • Ticket sales for each auditorium are limited to 50%.
    • Intermission times are extended to allow for thorough cleaning of auditoriums between showings.
    • All ticket and concession areas, bathrooms, common areas, and shared electronic equipment are routinely cleaned and disinfected with increased frequency throughout the day.
    • Social distancing is practiced in all common areas with queue lines marked with 6 foot spacing and 2 seats left open between seating groups in each auditorium.
    • Soft drink and other beverage machines are managed by theatre staff. Plexiglass dividers are in place at all customer/employee interaction points.
    • Hand sanitizer stations are placed throughout the facility.
    • Self serve ticket kiosks have been installed.

We know you are ready to get back out into the world, so we’re here for you! We will be taking baby-steps while we all figure out this new world, so here’s what we are doing:

REDUCED ADMISSION! - For a limited time until we can get new movies again we have reduced our admission price to just $5.00 for ALL SEATS, ALL SHOWS, ALL DAYS! Eventually the Hollywood schedule will get back in gear, so it will eventually have to change, for for now you can take advantage of the discount movie prices! (more money for popcorn with REAL butter!)

NO LATE ADMISSIONS!!!- We will not allow late admissions because we want you to have time to find a seat and settle before the lights go out. This is very important for proper distancing and it’s just good manners any time.

HOUSE LIGHTS WILL REMAIN ON DURING PREVIEWS- This is an extension of the above. The lights will be lowered immediately before the feature.

MASKS- masks are strongly encouraged, but not required. Our staff will be wearing them.

LIMITED CAPACITY- Our auditoriums have 170 seats, but we will be limiting to 80 admissions so you will be able to spread out and social distance. Groups can sit together but we want groups to distance themselves by at least 6 feet from other groups or individuals. How far is 6 feet? It’s an empty row in from and behind you, and two empty seats between you and another group or individual. Family/friend groups can sit together, we're talking about distancing from others.

DISTANCING- in addition to the above we ask you to keep 6 feet away from others while in the lobby.

SANITIZING- We have dedicated extra people to sanitize the seats after the movie. Once you are settled in they will mark your seat with a small piece or masking tape so they can sanitize after the show.

NO REFILLS ON POPCORN OR DRINKS- We won’t be able to fill popcorn halfway for buttering, either. Sorry for that inconvenience but it’s important that once something has gone over the counter to the customer then it can NEVER come back across the counter to the staff.

CREDIT/DEBIT CARDS PREFERRED- There will only be ONE concession counter able to take cash, the others will accept cards ONLY! We now have signs above the counter directing you to which counter this is. This is to provide a touch-less transaction to minimize the time it takes for the staff to wash their hands if cash is taken. The box office can take cash when it is open since they don’t handle food, but use cards if you can.

I do realize that the above might represent some inconvenience, but hopefully you will find it minimal to maintain a safer environment. It will be so nice to have you back!!!

Let’s go Back to the movies and demonstrate together just how safely we can make that happen in the Future. The CDC states that, “LARGE VENUES (e.g…movie theaters…) can operate under strict physical distancing protocols.” For those of you who don’t know us, please give us the opportunity to show you that following strict protocols is what we’ve always done. Those CDC guidelines and our history of strict protocol make us very well suited to safely welcome you Back. In the Future, the following practices will be implemented in addition to our already thorough cleanliness and safety policies:

Strict handwashing and hand sanitizing practices for employees as well as strong procedures and practices to clean and sanitize surfaces. Employees will be required to wear masks and gloves and adhere to physical spacing guidelines. Sneeze guards will be installed at concession.

Customers will be required to physically space 6 feet while waiting in line for tickets or concessions.

Groups that come in together can sit together. Groups and individuals will be physically spaced by 6 feet. Theatre chairs will be sanitized before and after each movie showing. Theatres will be deep cleaned nightly. Our theatre HVAC system includes HEPA filters.

Hand sanitizer stations will be located throughout the concession and hallways for easy access by customers and employees alike.

Signage will be posted at the entrance that states no one with a fever or symptoms of COVID-19 is to be permitted into the theatre.

All customers will be required to wear a face mask when entering the lobby. Once seated in the auditorium, masks may be removed to enjoy concessions and the movie. However, masks must be put back on prior to leaving your seat.

We believe the “intermission” we’ve undergone can safely be over. We’re flashing the lights! It pleases and honors us to no end to see those seats we’ve saved for you selling to this extent. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to be a part of this demonstration of safe reopening!

Pioneer Theatre is re-opening on June 12! Your safety and comfort are at the top of our mind during this time. With our recliner seats, our theaters are already configured for physical distancing, but we do ask that you please be mindful of the following notes to ensure a comfortable and safe moviegoing experience for everyone.

Advance reservation is required (there are no booking fees). Tickets will be available 3-5 days before each scheduled showtime, and capacity is limited due to the need to maintain physical space between parties in the theater. Initially, we are not handling specific seat reservations online. You will be able to choose your seats and ensure adequate physical distancing once you arrive. Parties larger than the number of seats in a row may need to split up.

Advance snack purchase is recommend. Snacks may be purchased at the same time you reserve your seats. We will also offer snacks for in-person purchase if you would prefer. If you have any questions or special requests, there is an area during checkout to make notes.

Before leaving home, please check your party to ensure that nobody has symptoms of illness. If anyone is ill, nobody in your party should attend the show to avoid the possibility of transmitting illness to others.

Facial coverings are strongly recommended. According to CDC guidelines, facial coverings are one of the best ways to prevent the transmission of COVID-19, which often does not present with any symptoms. Therefore, even healthy people should wear masks in the theater anytime you are not eating or drinking. We will have a limited quantity of masks available for those who may not have one.

Please arrive 15-20 minutes early. Larger groups should arrive earlier. Upon arrival, we will ask you to select seats from among those available in the auditorium subject to physical distancing controls. In the lobby, areas are marked on the floor where you should wait until it is your turn at the front counter. Once you have your tickets and snacks, please proceed directly to your seats.

Please maintain physical distance when exiting the theater. Be mindful of those in front and allow plenty of time to exit. If you have difficulty walking, please remain seated until others have exited to ensure a smooth flow toward the exits.

No special cleaning procedures required. While many establishments are proud to announce increased cleaning procedures, we're pleased to tell you that we always go above and beyond to ensure every surface in our building is clean and ready for you when you arrive. In addition to regular cleaning of the lobby, we carefully clean each seat between every show, as we have always done - this is why it always feels like it's the first show of the day when you walk in.

We'll see you at the show!

    Welcome Back to the Movies

Many things have changed over the last few months but our commitment to creating the best movie-going experience anywhere has stayed the same. As part of our ongoing efforts, we’ve joined other Rocky Mountain NATO members (National Association of Theatre Owners) in formally adopting Utah’s Cinema Promise. Please take a moment to review the details below and become familiar with the measures we’ve taken to ensure the safety and well-being of every guest.

    Wellness Checks for Employees

All team members are required to complete a health check at the start of each shift. We use the Healthy Together App, endorsed by Governor Herbert and the State of Utah, to complete a standardized check. Results for every team member are reported to theatre management. Team members will be asked to remain at home if they are experiencing symptoms or have been in recent contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.

    Gloves & Masks

Megaplex team members will continue to observe safe food handling practices, always wearing gloves and the additional protection of face masks. Wearing and the proper disposal of gloves will be required during all cleaning and sanitizing procedures for auditorium seating, restrooms, and food preparation areas.

Face masks are required for Megaplex team members but are currently optional for guests in common areas of the theatre. We ask for guests’ help in maintaining appropriate physical distancing (6 feet) while in the lobby, hallways, restrooms, and concessions areas to avoid the need for mandatory masks.

    Sanitizing High-Contact Areas

We have added multiple hand sanitizing stations in prominent areas throughout the theatres and our event spaces for guest and employee use. We have also enhanced our nightly deep cleaning standards and protocols. These measures include increased frequency of cleaning and disinfecting of high-traffic areas throughout the day.

Special attention will be given to sanitizing door handles, counters, touch screens at Freestyle Coke machines, railings, and other surfaces.

Expanded breaks between show times will be observed to allow time for additional cleaning and sanitization protocols.

    Hand Washing

All team members will wash their hands at regular intervals and when transitioning to new tasks.

Additional signage encouraging proper handwashing for both guests and employees will be visible throughout the theatre. Regular servicing of touchless soap dispensers and hand dryers will add protection for guests and employees.

    Physical Distancing

    General Measures

We will continue to comply with governmental guidance and CDC recommendations for all phases of re-opening and recovery.

Guests are asked to help maintain 6 feet of social distance in all common areas of the theatre. We’ve placed signage in key locations throughout the theatre to assist with this. Additionally, we ask that you follow instructions from our team members so that we may serve you safely and efficiently.

    Auditorium Seating Capacity

At our initial reopening, we will limit all auditoriums to 50 seats based on recommendations from state health officials. These limits apply to ticket sales on our web site, mobile app, Fandango, Atom Tickets, and the box office at each theatre. This may change over time depending on evolving conditions and local guidance. As circumstances change, we will update this page.

    Row Spacing

To ensure proper physical distancing, row availability will alternate in each auditorium between showtimes. This will help eliminate contact points, as most selectable seats will not have been occupied during the previous show. As noted above, these measures are in addition to the extra sanitizing sweeps that will be conducted after each film.

    Seating Gaps between Groups

When selecting seats on an available row, an automatic 3-seat buffer will be applied to the right and left of every reservation. The 3-seat buffer will be applied whether purchasing tickets on the web site, mobile app, Fandango, Atom Tickets, or the box office at each theatre. We ask that these distancing guidelines be strictly observed when you arrive at the theatre to ensure the best experience for all guests.

    Premiere Cinema Corp.

Updated June 10 2020: The theater has informed us that they plan to implement the following procedures. Please note that the theater may have changed its planned procedures since this date. For the most up to date description of the theater’s planned procedures, please visit the theater’s website.

Premiere is 100% committed to being a shining example of how a business should reopen and follow all local, state and federal recommendations. Our cinemas have undergone extreme sanitization procedures which is ongoing during our operations. Our Premiere Teams and Guests are also following correct social distancing and safety procedures to ensure everyone’s visit to the movies is great every time. Certain procedures may change based on guidelines during this time so please take a moment to check in with your friendly local Premiere Team members upon arrival and we’ll give you all the latest up-to-date information to maximize your enjoyment at the movies. Please note the following procedures for movie-going.

STANDARD PROCEDURES THROUGH ALL PHASES OF THE REOPENING PROCESS

HAND WASHING - All our Premiere Teams thoroughly wash their hands at least every half-hour and gloves are changed frequently. Hand-sanitizers are on-site for guests use as well, so please use them when coming and going just as a precaution to help us keep things pristine.

CLEANING & DISINFECTING OF HIGH CONTACT SURFACES - Premiere Teams are disinfecting surfaces continuously using EPA-approved sanitization products. This includes double-checking restrooms and other areas thoroughly. Deep-cleaning is done on our theatre seat surfaces in auditoriums between shows and again nightly, so your seat will be fresh and ready for you upon your arrival. We want to be known as the cleanest place in town so please help us by discarding your own trash in lobbies and after the movies to help ensure this for our next guests.

SOCIAL DISTANCING - Premiere Teams use floor decals to help guests maintain respectable distances from each other (typically 6’); you’ve probably already seen these at the grocery store and elsewhere, so please observe them at the cinema also. These will help designate guest-spacing for concessions kiosks, etc. If you don’t see a marker, maintain your own sense of responsible social-distancing by staying 6’ away from others so everyone gets their personal space.

STAY HOME IF SICK - This applies to both Guests and Staff. Don’t go out in public if you are feeling in any way sick, coughing, sneezing, feverish, or have other cold, flu or virus-like symptoms, it’s not worth risking exposing yourself or anyone else, stay home if you’re not feeling well. Premiere Teams can’t work if they have any symptoms or feel the least bit ill, they’re screened on all shifts to ensure you’re greeted by healthy teams at the movies. Medical releases are required and temperatures checked before shifts to ensure compliance. An occasional dry throat can lead to a cough or sneeze, but always cover your face with a mask, or cough into your elbow over your mouth, as this can go a long way towards basic courtesy to others and personal hygiene.

MASK UP - Our Premiere Teams will be masked-up. Guests are encouraged to bring their own masks and wear them especially in lobbies, restrooms and common areas, even while watching the movie if you can. It’s just courtesy and shows others you are a part of the bigger team all vowing to interact together to get through this Phase 1 reopening. Premiere staff may be wearing gloves as well when cleaning or performing other functions as a further practice for cleanliness and sanitizing.

CASH KIOSK - Credit cards are recommended to avoid excessive exchange of cash currency, however if you’re paying cash, please look for a cash-exchange kiosk or register in our lobby, as during Phase 1, your cash will be transferred to a Premiere Gift Card for your use at the cinema, which will be used to purchase tickets, concession, or other menu items without having to exchange cash each time. For example, if you have $40 in cash you will exchange it for a $40 Gift Card to use during your visit. Gift Cards work like debit cards, so whatever you don’t use remains an available balance on your Card for your next visit so keep your Card handy, balance can’t be refunded. Premiere also accepts Tap & Go cards, Apple Pay & Google Pay at every register for your convenience to provide contactless payments every step of the way.

GUESTS ENTERING - Before attending, ask yourself this simple question: “Have you had any symptoms in the past 14 days such as fever, chills, dry cough or been exposed to anyone who has?” If the answer is “yes”, please stay home a few more days to get past that recommended period. Guests also be prepared and expecting to be asked this same question when entering the theatre or other public places, it’s in both your interest and the interest of others, so please respect this rule while in place during reopening. Wearing of masks by guests is discretionary unless required by local government authority.

ONLINE TICKETING - For convenience, you should always purchase your tickets on line in advance. This avoids lines and delays at the cinema, and in recliner-theatres, lets you select and reserve your own seats which will be waiting for you in VIP fashion upon your arrival.

    AT THE CONCESSION STAND

MENUS - You might also notice limited menu items during this time; this is for both convenience of service and to ensure safe food-handling protocols by limiting the number of food-prep items.

SELF SERVE/REFILLS - Guests love Premiere’s self-serve refills but for now you might notice our self-serve refill stations out-of-use and free refills temporarily suspended until further notice, again that’s out of extra precaution for maintaining sanitizing protocols. You’ll still enjoy Premiere’s same fresh-hot popcorn filled in your bucket or bag though, you just can’t get unlimited refills at the current time, so please discard your bucket, bag or cup after you’re finished with it. Our fresh soft-drink fountains are still in use but for now are staffed by Premiere Team members to fill your soda and ICEE cups for you. You may notice our typical grab-and go candy racks behind the counter for now also. These are mostly temporary measures during the Phase 1 reopening.

FOOD SERVICE - Pagers and other food-related items are all sanitized between use, that’s normal anyway, but enhanced further by policy now. You may notice disposable one-use menus, please discard these after using.

THE AUDITORIUMS – AHHH, THE MOVIE IS STARTING

SOCIAL DISTANCING - For reserved-seating theatres, our software has been adjusted to provide seat selection following state guidelines. Every other row may be skipped, and two empty seats left between parties. Don’t worry, friends and family in your group can all sit together, but the distancing guidelines must be followed between your group and the next one and an automatic two-seat buffer will be in place. In most early cases you’ll see restricted capacity, for example if local code is for 50% occupancy, there will be only a maximum of 50 people in a typical 100-seat theatre, and so forth; that means you’ll have PLENTY OF ROOM to spread out, relax and enjoy the movie. When reserving your seats on line, you will notice some seats not available for this reason.

For non-reserved theatres, every other row in the auditorium will be typically blocked-off for distancing measures, so please space out yourselves accordingly, leaving at least two seats between your party and the party next to you. Premiere Teams may monitor and ask you to relocate to achieve such distancing practices so please respect these conditions and be prepared to relocate if asked, it’s for our mutual compliance and in everybody’s best interests.

FOLLOW THE RULES. Attending the movies is as fun as ever, so please respect temporary rules in place and staff working hard to enforce them. As always, unruly or uncooperative guests shouldn’t attend, and will be kicked out without a refund, so don’t be one of those! Enjoy your movie, stay courteous of everyone around you, and remember we’ll all have a great time at the movies together.

For the most up to date description of the theater’s planned procedures, please visit the theater’s website.

    Standard Safety Procedures

These are the standard procedures we are committed to throughout each phase of reopening Santikos theaters.

WASH YOUR HANDS: All team members must properly and frequently wash their hands at a minimum of once every hour. Hands must be washed between each change of gloves. We advise all of our guests to frequently and thoroughly wash their hands while refraining from touching their face.

DISINFECT HIGH-CONTACT SURFACES: High-contact surfaces (door handles, counter tops, faucets, kiosks, railings, etc.) must be wiped down with a medical-grade sanitizing agent at a minimum of once every 30 minutes. We will also maintain nightly deep cleaning of all auditoriums, bathrooms and high-traffic areas.

SAFE SOCIAL-DISTANCING: All team members and guests must practice and maintain appropriate physical distancing as recommended by the CDC and local health authorities.

REMAIN AT HOME IF YOU ARE SICK: All team members will be screened and have to give a verbal disclosure they are not sick and have not been in close contact with anyone experiencing signs of sickness.

WEAR PROPER PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: All team members must wear the required protective equipment and adhere to all CDC recommended standards of use of such equipment at all times. Protective equipment will be provided by Santikos at no cost to team members.

FACE COVERINGS: Face masks are currently optional in common areas such as lobby, hallways and restrooms. If social distancing cannot be maintained, we reserve the right to make them mandatory. If made mandatory, they may be removed when eating, drinking or seated for your movie.

CASH EXCHANGE: We are implementing a “Cash Only” line and specifically training team members how to properly handle cash. Cash will only be accepted in exchange for gift cards. The gift card can then be redeemed at concession, bar and other amenities as we reopen. It is exact change only. If you come in with a $50 bill you can only get a $50 gift card. We will not be giving change at all, no exceptions.

    Theater Entrance Screening

These questions will be asked of all guests and employees before entering the theater.

Within the past 14 days have you, or anyone you have been in close contact with, experienced any symptoms of illness such as fever, chills, dry cough, shortness of breath or sore throat? (If yes, you will not be allowed in the theater and we will reimburse you your ticket.)

    • Then—all South Carolina theaters on 6/19.
    • Then—all North Carolina and Virginia theaters on 6/26.
    • All openings are subject to change as we are being advised by the State Governor’s.

Here is what you can expect when we get reopened.

    In-Theater Experience (Sanitation):

Before and after every feature, chairs, armrests, handrails, door handles and cup holders are cleaned and sanitized. These items are verified by management prior to seating the next feature. All staff is required to wear masks and practice a high level of hygiene & sanitation at all times.

    Overall Theater Sanitation:

Frequent cleaning and disinfecting of any touched surfaces, such as door handles, tables, chairs, concession stations, and restrooms will occur throughout the facility. Doors are propped open where possible to provide easy and touchless access. Hand sanitizer, soap and water, or similar disinfectant are readily available to associates and guests.

    Associate Screening:

All theater associates are screened before each shift. This screening includes a temperature check, symptoms check, questionnaire regarding exposure to anyone who has shown symptoms, and a signed document attesting they were checked, and all information given is true & accurate.

    Suggested Customer Guidelines for COVID-19:

The following are minimum recommended health protocols for all movie theater customers based on guidance from the CDC and state governments. These minimum health protocols are not a limit on the health protocols that individuals may adopt. Individuals are encouraged to adopt additional protocols consistent with their specific needs and circumstances to help protect the health and safety of us all.

    • Maintain at least 6 feet separation from other individuals who are not attending the movie together. If such distancing is not feasible, other measures such as face covering, hand hygiene, cough etiquette, cleanliness, and sanitation should be rigorously practiced.
    • Self-screen before going into a movie theater for any of the following new or worsening signs or symptoms of possible COVID-19: cough, shortness of breath, chills, repeated shaking, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, feeling feverish or a temperature in excess of 100.0, and known contact with a person is lab confirmed to have COVID-19
    • Wash or disinfect hands upon entering a movie theater and after any interaction with employees, other customers, or items in the movie theater.
    • Consistent with the actions taken by many individuals across the state, consider wearing cloth face coverings (over the nose and mouth) when entering a movie theater, or when within 6 feet of another person who is not a member of the individual’s household. If available, individuals should consider wearing non-medical grade face masks.
    • Individuals aged 65 or older are at a higher risk of COVID-19. To the extent possible, avoid contact within 6 feet with individuals aged 65 and older. Individuals aged 65 and older should stay at home as much as possible.
    • Wash or sanitize hands after any transactions.

At the Grand Theatres and Amstar Cinemas, we have implemented significant measures to help ensure our guests and employees feel comfortable and safe at our theatres. We will be adhering to all CDC, state and local government guidance with respect to safety protocols and occupancy. These measures include:

Enhanced cleaning measures: The Grand Theater and Amstar Cinemas are committed to caring for the health and well-being of our employees and guests. We continue to conduct elevated cleaning and sanitizing protocols consistent with CDC guidelines to help to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Our staff has gone through additional training and continue to clean all high touch surface areas every 15 minutes and every theater seat is cleaned after each use with products that are 99% effective in killing bacteria and viruses.

Additional precautions: Our theater staff and management are also taking precautions. Prior to beginning every shift, all employees complete a health pre-check, including safety precautions such as taking their temperature, to ensure they are ready and able to work. Employees are also required to wear facial coverings and gloves during their shifts and continue to frequently wash their hands. In our reserved seating locations, our ticket sales system will allow groups of guests who order at the same time to sit together. To ensure proper social distancing, the system will force a two seat gap on either side that group. In our general admission locations, seating occupancy will be limited per government guidelines (typically 25%-50% depending upon the state) which will provide for family groups to sit together and other groups to sufficiently distance from them in the auditorium.

Safety Protocols: We respectfully request guests follow social distancing and safety protocols recommended by public health officials, including wearing a facial covering when visiting our theatres. We have floors marked with stickers to help guide social distancing and protective barriers are in place in areas of close proximity to help with safety.

Reel Rewards® Members: We recognize that the current environment has limited the ability of our loyalty members to redeem their Reel Rewards Dollars® and Birthday Bonuses. Because of this, we will be extending the expiration date on these items to August 31st.

We remain focused on providing a clean and healthy visit to our theatres for our guests and employees. We are always available to address questions and concerns.
