BillMurray WoodyHarrelson Zombies Awesome Hysterical
Written October 06, 2009
This movie has just enough gore to keep the guy entertained. Enough sappy romance to keep the girl entertained. And enough comedy to keep the movie from becoming stale and redundant. I will say this, this is the type of movie where you may absolutely hate it. My girl and I thought it was fun, but a couple behind us left 2/3 of the way through the movie grumbling about how much it sucked. The humor is a little on the childish side, but hilarious in the context of the movie. I recommend this if its a slow night and you want to take your girl/guy out for a chuckle. But don't expect side splitting laughs, and if your not sure, waiting for DVD isn't a bad alternative. It's not one of those movies you have to see in the theater.

Of course zombie comedies are a fairly small genre, but this movie is funny, silly, extremely gory, action packed and short enough to keep you from looking at your watch. And the extended cameo by an unbilled star (I won't name him and ruin the surprise) was an expected treat. Certainly not a great movie, but if you're in the mood for some gross-out madcap mayhem that never takes itself too seriously, this is a good bet.

Well, by the time this was released I wouldn't have been able to see it anyway, but even if I had been as old as I am now, I would have told you the same thing: Save this one for DVD. The movie's a great pass-the-time zombie movie, but I don't think I will ever watch it again unless I'm bored and really have nothing else to do. Not sure what else to suggest. since I haven't seen any other zombie movies, but I'm sure there have got to be other ones worth GO's or MUSTGO's. Worth seeing, but save it for when it's released for your DVD player.
