    eek...

to be completely honest... this movie was horrible. I don't want to write such a bias review but the movie was so long and boring, I sat through half of it with rls. It might be KIND of worth watching if you're interested in the history behind it but that's it...

    Zodiac Director's Cut

Fincher scores yet again. Not my favorite but this is an engaging, if long, look at the real life story of one of the greatest unsolved criminal cases of the latter part of the 20th century. Mark Ruffalo is great, as are many of the supporting cast members. definitely worth the time...

    Interesting movie

    by cjtolmie

There was a lot of buzz around this one but I didn't see why. The movie was slow at times, not terribly cohesive at times. Interesting film to watch though, especially if you are interested in the actual history behind the film.

    Zodiac - Well Done

    by Stacie Hougland

One of David Fincher's finest, this fascinating examination of the hunt for the Zodiac Killer who terrorized the Bay Area for two decades and was never caught holds you captive from start to finish. Keeping violence to a minimum but frightening nonetheless, the movie features terrific performances by Jake Gyllenhaal and most notably Robert Downey Jr. as a boozy but talented newspaper reporter on the case. Fincher captures the look and feel of the 1970s in pitch-perfect detail (imagine how difficult it would be to conduct such an investigation with the limited technology available at the time?). While a bit overlong, overall a great thinking-man's thriller.

ZODIAC Two-Disc Director?s Cut Out on DVD - January 8th

    by MooVeeLover

I was really excited to see this movie on DVD. First of all, great cast! Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey, Jr., and Jake Gyllenhaal all looking really good in their 70s attire. I knew absolutely noting about the Zodiac killings, so, for me, the movie was really interesting. I would have liked to compare the Director?s Cut to the original theatrical cut, but I didn?t see it in theater. The movie is paced well, but frankly, I think it could have used a few cuts.

I really liked seeing a period piece set in the 1970s, you don?t get to see that era on film too often. If you?re a fan of the film, the extras are an added bonus. I always like DVD extras that expose the creative process in translating scenes from concept/visualization to film, and this 2 Disk Set doesn't disappoint.

Would make an excellent after-Christmas present to yourself, with one of those gift cards you received for Christmas! :)
