Acting was great. Opening scenes of torture may be accurate, but they are repulsive. Movie is 20 minutes too long and that's all there is to it. It needed editing: too much development of some characters and it bogged down in the middle. By the time the action kicked in, I had been squirming in my chair for 20 minutes. Intellectual dialogue does not have to = droning on and on.

Excellent movie overall. Great acting performances. Would recommend to anyone - even though you know what is going to happen at the end, it is still unpredictable and thrilling.

This movie is incredible. Don't worry about how long it is...You get sucked into the story in about ten minutes. (The opening scene lets you know they aren't screwing around)
Jessica Chastain is amazing. You can feel her getting more committed with each passing event.
The closing scene is unlike any of the battle sequences I've watched before. It's about as real as it gets--WOW.
Go See This Movie!!

The movie starts off immediately with a black out, replaying 911 calls for
9/11, you are drawn in and continue with years of work by multiple persons,
the movie illustrates the painstaking, anguishing decisions made by these
persons, and while a death is never for glory, it reminds the public "freedom"
is not free. Well done.

I cannot say that this film is "good".
Being based on a true story makes it significant, but also tedious and too long.
Tha acting is competent but not outstanding . I feel like, because it covers such sensitive material, people are judging it to be better than it is. If had not been based on truth it never would have been a movie. I understand the director's quest, and it is a noble one, but the result is not satisfying.
