Composer, songwriter, director, producer, and star performer Adriano Celentano has put together this tale of a seedy aristocrat's two loves, drawing upon the inspiration of Elvis Presley and Jerry Lewis. Felice (Celentano) has two wives, and he loves them both. His first, Silvia (Charlotte Rampling), faked a suicide in order to be the mistress of a wealthy man and live comfortably (divorce was not possible in Italy at this time). His second, Adelaide (Claudia Mori) cares deeply about his happiness.
