This movie was the best I had seen in a long time. I am vegan and I proudly support this movie. This is a very thought provoking movie spiced with some excellent comedic talent. It will make you realize the value of all life.

message movie
I was admittedly taken off guard at the lack of Mary Katherine Gallagher antics. However, this movie was not pitched as a physical comedy. The main reason people should see this movie is because its message is important - and most Americans don't get it already. In the audience I heard people laughing at the main character's epiphanies. By the end of the film those same people were a little speechless. The laughing in the beginning reminded me of all the ways our society tends to glorify ignorance and insensitivity. For example, in high school we made fun of kids with a good vocabulary. Many people voted for Bush because Gore and Kerry 'talked too smart.' Whether they knew it or not, maybe those people who laughed mockingly learned a little. Go see this movie!

just because a movie doesn't have the usual formula of guns and *** doesn't mean it isn't bad. on the contrary, this is a movie with an original story and a well-developed protagonist, and it also doesn't follow the usual hollywood cliches whereby a female lead must ultimately fall in love in order to find happiness. a great movie, with great performances!
