Zeki Demirkubuz's Yazgi, the first of a planned trilogy to be referred to as "Tales About Darkness," tells the story of Musa (Serdar Orcin). His routine life as an office drone rarely changes course, even when his mother (who he lives with) dies. Things change dramatically when he meets Sinem and begins a relationship with her. The fact that she is his boss' secretary complicates the situation, but not nearly as much as the eventual murder of the boss' family does. This film was screened in the Un Certain Regard section of the 2002 Cannes Film Festival, and won an award from the international critic's association. ~ Perry Seibert, Rovi
