Wynton Marsalis and Eric Clapton Play the Blues

As we are Eric Clapton FANS and we've seen him on numerous occasions, it was truly interesting to see him playing in a style and with different musicians than he customarily plays with. It was fabulous music that we enjoyed tremendously. What was disappointing however was the lack of an audience as there were only two other people besides the two of us there. We don't know where you can get this caliber of talent and music for the price of a movie anywhere else. It was one of the best 90 minutes musically we have every had and would welcome similar concerts again in the future. Thank you for a great night of entertainment for us!!!

When Blues met his brother, Jazz

I hope they show this one again. Their performance together was remarkable. Great mixing of Dixieland style Jazz with Blues classics. Then top it off with Taj Mahal joining them to perform the Gospel standard "Just A Closer Walk With Thee." I tell you, of that don't bring a tear to your eye, you're already dead.

Great together!!!

Wynton Marcalis and Eric Clapton were great together combining the best talents of both along with excellent world class musicians. Song list was very entertaining. Unfortunately, the Dish Network system broke down during the show and was interrupted for about 15 minutes with no attendant to fix the problem ... so a couple of songs were not seen. Very disappointing to have the show stop, lights come up, and silence while the computer screen shows the steps taken to restore the Dish Network connection. A clip from the Hot Chile Peppers was eventually shown for a while during the interruption where many walked out. Would love the opportunity to see the entire show without interruption. If you get the chance do not miss!

The ticket to see this show was a birthday gift for my husband. He absolutely LOVES Wynton and his music. My husband is a trumpet player as well, so he not only likes the music, he appreciates it as well. The excitement he had about the movie when he got home was palpable. Non stop raving about it for about 15 minutes or more. I know when this show is made available on dvd.cd it will become a part of our home music collection.
