Wrath of the Titans improves on its predecessor by jumping right into the action and not turning back with a simple but effective hero's journey. Yes, the accents are all over the place and, like most 3D movies, it's filmed in a dark and muddy motif. The movie itself takes some good joy in being a vehicle for our muscled demi-god to fight his way through ancient Egypt along with a good cast of sidekicks, though, nearly everyone is overshadowed by Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes, who are having a personal intensity contest whenever they are in the same scenes. I say nearly because Bill Nighy damn near steals the whole movie along with long time favorite, Bubo the Owl.

I was not as good as the first movie but the 3D version made it look pretty good. I would have like to have seen more actions and a better story line, but if you like sci fi movies like I did its a good way to spend the day.

As with any Sci-Fi movie boasting it's special effects the place to see it is IMAX 3D. The seats are comfortable and spacious and the picture is unmatched. Now as for the movie itself I enjoyed it even more than the prequil. I've always liked Liam and it was nice to see the main characters played by believable actors. Or as believable as a movie about mythology allows. I especially liked the Cyclops segment. If I was to detract from the movie at all it would be to question the size of the role of the leading lady. I know the trend is to portray women as tough but she just didn't fit in. And I guess if I got picky the final battle left me scratching my head wondering how Pegusis didn't get burned at least a little bit? I'd recommend this movie to all the fantasy, mythology and special effects fans.

What an awesome experience it was to this movie in IMAX 3D. It leaves Real 3D in the dust. the special effects in this movie are outstanding. You even see an real old friend from the very first Clash of the Titans. Go see for yourself.

I purposely went to see this movie in the Imax 3D theater and wasn't dissappointed by the action & special FX. I'd read the story line was weak and would agree with that assessment. Still, it was worth it just to experience the Imax 3D. If you're not going to spring for the Imax, then I would suggest waiting until it comes to pay per view.
