I'll give this one a C. It was just okay, no lack of zombies for sure, some intense moments but some parts were like yeah right.... I'll give Pitt a A for effort. It was fun all the same.
Fast & Furious is still #1 in my book for summer movies so far.

I thought this was very entertaining...my husband thought it was predictable...but that's just silly. Of course it was predictable - Brad Pitt would prevail - duh! - But other than that fact (that any idiot could have predicted), I thought it kept you thinking. Very good.

I must say, it was actually better than I thought it would be. However, the final moments left me a little unfulfilled. But it's worth a look.

I really looked forward to seeing this one. There are a few good scenes that caused me to jump a bit, but overall, it was kind of disinteresting, with weak character development and a predictable ending. Great CGI effects and zombie makeup, though. The most memorable characters were Pitt's character "Gerry", a female Israeli soldier "Sedene", and two unnamed zombies in particular who really steal the show in the last third of the movie. While I wouldn't tell anyone to avoid seeing tis one, I also would recommend not getting your hopes up for a really great zombie movie - if there IS such a thing.

I went to see this movie just today with mediocre expectations after reading the critic and some fan reviews. But boy were they wrong! This movie is right up there with the walking dead. It has thrills and chills, but just warning you now, this movie is not for children 12 and under as I see it. I somewhat enjoy a fun scare as much as the next guy but for kids this can be a huge scar for life. So yes, World War Z is nothing like the book, but it's absolutely stunning, and I say go! Have fun!
