World War Z does zombie movies the way they should be done.
The acting and directing really make this movie come together. Marc Forster deserves major kudos for his execution.
The character development does an excellent job of creating a connection with the audience. WWZ keeps the believability high throughout most of the movie though things start to stretch towards the end.
World War Z is full of tension creating scenes that will have you on the edge of your seat before you jump out of it. These zombies aren't the usual slow and dumb zombies. There speed and tenacity really ratchet up the suspense and sense of danger.
My only issues lies with the resolution. It is as weak as the rest of the story is strong.
There is nothing during or after the credits

It's nice to see someone try a new spin on an established genre, and World War Z does it well. The zombies act like plague vectors; once infected, their only goal is to spread the contagion. And spread it they do... Some have criticized the movie for proceeding too quickly, but I think the nonstop pace of the movie served the sense of panic and desperation one would feel. It was also good to see a change from the "survivors holed up in a house/shopping mall/ military base" trope. Those who want a lot of gore and gut-pulling will be disappointed, this is closer to 28 Days Later than Night of the Living Dead, but I expect you'll still have fun. It was also nice to see soldiers aiming carefully and firing in short bursts, not spraying bullets; a welcome touch of autheticity. While I was sorry that the movie differed signifiantly from the book, being faithful to Brooks' excellent format would've made this into a Kn Burns documentary. Not bad, but this was fine the way it was.

Okay, so I was incredibly excited to see this movie. I mean what is not to like, zombies, guns, war against the dead... This is a no-brainer ;) The acting was great. Pitt did an awesome job as a UN investigator on a mission to find the advent of the Zs in a desperate attempt to find out how to stop them. I was a little disappointed with the beginning at first because of the lack of story development but in hind sight, I think that is what they intended (it fits well with the how the disease started). All in all, two thumbs up! Go see it on the big screen, it is well worth it (the 3D kind of sucks, there are a couple good parts that made me jump but not sure it is worth the extra bough).

This was the first time I didn't finish my slushee because I was on the edge of my seat the entire movie. Crazy. Must see if you're a zombie fanatic.
