Zombies Done Right

World War Z does zombie movies the way they should be done. The acting and directing really make this movie come together. Marc Forster deserves major kudos for his execution. The character development does an excellent job of creating a connection with the audience. WWZ keeps the believability high throughout most of the movie though things start to stretch towards the end. World War Z is full of tension creating scenes that will have you on the edge of your seat before you jump out of it. These zombies aren't the usual slow and dumb zombies. There speed and tenacity really ratchet up the suspense and sense of danger. My only issues lies with the resolution. It is as weak as the rest of the story is strong. There is nothing during or after the credits If you like my reviews, add me as a fan. I'll add you back!

More War-Like than Zombie-Like

I can give a go rate if only focusing at special effects at chaos situation during the film. But I give a so-so rate because , it's just another american war-like movie. Good work on special effects , as I said, but poor on zombies. I thought that I was going to see really good zombies battle. I was especially disappointed in the end.... too teenager-pepsi like. May thrill at moments but not enough to tremble.

Fun fun fun! It was a ridiculous premise, really well thought out and executed; with no satisfactory final explanation. The zombie why & how remains a mystery; the solution is original but flawed. The 12-count is suspenseful and fabulous. Zombies are satisfyingly scary. Actors are great. Pitt looks unfortunately sloppy, not like any self-respecting ex-UN secret spy problem solver type. Mireille was perfect, the Israeli soldier inspired. Each different location exposed us to fresh talent and a new story style - from ny apt, to navy ship, Harvard doc, south Korea soldiers & CIA guy; from Jerusalem scene, thru Belorussian pilots & flight, to WHO In Wales. Each was different in feel and look - really wonderful style of adventure story-telling. As I said: fun fun fun!

World War Z - Fandango Review ...Good Movie!

It was a very good movie but I think they held back a little to set up a sequel. I'm not a big Brad Pitt fan and I got through this movie with out vomiting! So, I don't feel like I wasted my money. I didn't even mind paying Fandango's totally unreasonable service fee, for doing nothing. Anyway, I had a great time with my 13 year old son. It was a little scarier than I thought it would be - but without all the pointless gore and bad language; and that's a good thing! I would go see it again if there weren't so many movies coming out this year that I would like to see! After all Fandango; I'm not a money tree now am I?
