It seems as if no one really understands what is going on in this movie. I've read promotional materials that talk of Peter Lake's reincarnation...what?!?!? That wasn't in the movie. The 100 year gap in the story was awful..what was happening during that time? Give me something people!! The beginning of the movie was decent as a nice love story developed, but how did we get to 2014? And how did the little girl in 1916 - probably 8 or 9 years old then - end up still being around in 2014??
BIG QUESTION - Who knew Will Smith was in this movie?? No one if you only saw the movie promoted on tv as I did. Who casts Will Smith in a movie and doesn't mention it?? Obviously it was because of the deception around this movie. It was not a romantic Valentine's day movie. It had a very dark demonic side that would turn people away if they knew about it. Overall, this was a very bad movie. I've heard the book is good so I may read that. Leave this movie alone and stay home!

Went to celebrate romantic February 14 the movie was romantic but above and beyond this element was the surprise of Evil verses good
Unexpected casting good looking usually plays a good guy not in this surprise performance he is just evil
Looking forward to taking a couple of friends to see this movie
again and will definitely purchase when it is released
Go see it people !!

Not exactly what I expected but a good movie. Dragged in the middle with extensive character development then jumped ahead with little character development. Still great scenery & cinematography and a good story.

I was so hesitant to see this movie based on some of the reviews I read. At the end of the day I went to see it with my mom and what a great movie it turned out to be. I fell in love with the main characters and cried like a baby throughout the movie. Definitely worth it!

Being a very easy-to-please movie watcher, who likes a variety of genre from sci-fi and fantasy to historical and action, it's hard to disappoint me. However, A Winter's Tale did just that. My husband and I stuck it out, watching the whole movie, but left wishing we hadn't wasted our time and money. It was, for lack of a better description, the plot and story was just dumb. Will Smith, as Lucifer, was a mistake and gave the movie a "hokey" factor. We actually muffled our snickers when he appeared on the screen. Sorry to Mr. Smith...you're actually one of our favorites. Loved you in Pursuit of Happyness, but not so much in this one. The special effects were not too bad when "Horse" did his thing. Could've been great, had the storyline connected, or made more sense.
