Typical Pooh type movie. My 5 year old enjoyed it. It wasn't boring to me.

Guilty Pleasure

When I was little, I loved Winnie the Pooh. Now that I have a little nephew, I thought it would be good cover to take him to see it so I could. My only complaint is that it was too short. I wanted to spend more time in the 100 acre wood.

I originally wanted to see it because I was raised on Winnie the Pooh. Dad read me the A. A. Milne stories to me when I was little, etc. But, I found out one of my absolute favorite late night TV talk show host, Craig Ferguson was the voice of Owl, I couldn't resist. I had to see it. And all of the voice actors did a lovely job (serious props to Jim Cummings, a Disney regular when it comes down to voice acting)! The animation was amazing, the dialogue was hilarious. Not only that the score and soundtrack was beautiful. Zooey Deschanel's vocals have this whole old-timey feel, it was fitting to have her sing some of the songs. Also, some of the songs were catchy. I sometimes find myself humming "Everything is Honey". I think the young ones will enjoy it, far as I'm concerned. PS, stay during the credits, there is this great surprise at the very end!
