Biography

Former newspaperman William Slavens McNutt made the transition to screenwriter with 1926's The Quarterback. Employed by Paramount in the early 1930s, McNutt made significant contributions to that studio's brace of Mark Twain adaptations, Tom Sawyer (1930) and Huckleberry Finn (1931).
