    Could Use White-Out

    by CtMovie_Buff

Basics: i have this thing for strong female leads... Kate Beckingsale was great.. a little bit of over-acting amongst some of the supporting characters, but the movie was ok, but lacked a sense of importance. It just felt as if i walked out saying, all this happened but who cares? Why is it even worth fighting for? Overall: a little suspensful, great cinematography, but lacked an adequate drive for the movie to even exist...

Want to like it cause of kate and tom skerritt, a very under rated actor, but, sorry. bad guy too easily identified. lame execution of slightly potential storyline. and they just HAD to show kate bending over,*** in face, in her underwear. come on

My boyfriend is the one into scary movies -he said it was lame. He could predict almost everything that was going to happen. I was scared but not intrigued.
Basically theres the cute female cop with a horrible past; gratuitous shot; trying to be independent; gets in way over her head (lots of the same flashback); meets a cute guy; more danger and personal trauma; blah blah and an ending that might have tried to twist but went limp like a wet noodle..
If you need a movie to kill some time its great, and OH! look for the strings holding up the planes at the very beginning! They are in more than one shot~

Fascinating scenery of Antarctica; that alone made it worth the ticket price. I would say very good, but not great movie. Different, interesting because of the very unusual setting - most of us are not at all familiar with outposts in Antarctica and what life would be like there. The plot kept my interest, was suspenseful, and the acting was good. I recommend it. Alot of gore and violence; wouldn't take kids; okay for teenagers.
