Loved this movie!

I loved this film...beautifully shot, with strong performances (especially Stephen Lang, powerful and frightening, and Karen Allen, subtle and moving). Great at evoking not just a specific time and place, but a more universal theme of loving those we cannot save, and taking risks to achieve your dreams. Both poignant and funny. A very tender yet exciting film. Definitely worth seeing (though bring your Kleenex!!!).

Wonderful, surprising movie experience!

Saw this in Cambridge at the Kendall Square. Didn't know anything about it - went in after another movie was sold out and so SO glad we did! A roller-coaster ride of emotions, from laughs to gasps to tears and a story that seems ordinary and predictable on first glance but ends up being full of twists and turns you'd never expect! But the best thing about the movie was the characters and the amazing actors who portrayed them. They felt so real, everyone in my group was talking about them for several days after, as if they were people we had known. A small film, but we Highly recommend.

Authentic

As moviegoers, we become used to films with budgets in the 8 - 9 figure range. Often it is easy to get lost in the background distraction and lose a connection with the human element - what the actors bring to a story in a way that makes it real. White Irish Drinkers is a film that is crisp and raw. Although an independent production this film captures what so many big budget films today don't: authenticity. You will find yourself lauging and crying and wanting to see it again.

Great cast and I especially liked newcomer Nick Thurston and his love interest Leslie Murphy. Great chemistry. This movie had me laughing and crying at the same time. Very authentic performances by all and certainly worthy of the big screen. Loved the bond between the two brothers and Thurston's struggle to break free and spread his wings. Highly recommend!
