    A huge disappointment!!

After seeing this movie on IMAX I really must say I was very disappointed in many ways and thought it would be alot better.I am a huge fan of the book but as in most cases this movie didn't live up to it.Really felt the production could have been alot better and probably wasn't necessary to have on IMAX.I could think of a ton of other movies that would have been better in IMAX than this one.

    Where the Wild Things Are

This was a great movie for children ages 6 and up. I even saw adult couples at this movie without children. We all loved it. It was a story children and adults could relate to well.

Wait till it comes to video

It was funny but not as exciting as I thougt it would be. They added stuff that was stupid, just to stretch out the story. I would waste the ticket price but do see it on video.

    Don't take the kids

This film had nothing to do with the charming children's book. It was filled with complex issues that a team of psychologists couldn't fix. No happy ending. No happy middle. Nothing happy about this film at any point, anywhere. Not that a film "should" be "happy", but to base this on the wonderful book made for children, there is only angst, and depressed, teary eyed creatures and humans alike throughout. My 8 year old was in tears and sad, and I'm asking myself why I didn't read reviews first. She, along with myself, and probably everyone in the universe was expecting a tale with magic and charm and a happy ending. What was delivered was a series of relationships that were tormented and confused, and over the top emotionally charged to upset anyone, let alone a child. DON'T take your children to see this mess of a film that leaves one at the least upset and possibly confused, and at the worst, leaves a child crying, disappointed, and with enough tears for Max to sail his boat through!
