A Warm Romantic Comedy, A Bit Weak On Words But Strong on Presence.
Faris and Evans are an excellent screen match. They both deliver respectable efforts here but actors can only do what?s on the page and this screenplay is weak and poorly developed. Despite that shortcoming, the cast manages to pull it off on their talents alone. So, in the final analysis I think this movie works for an audience. The one I saw it with seemed to thoroughly enjoy it. I?d describe the film as a good date flick, if for no other reason than the fact that neither one of the leads is hard to watch, superficially speaking. While the plot meanders a bit, eventually it arrives at an acceptable resolution. If you?re looking for something to see with your significant other while avoiding superheroes, ghouls, murderers and villains, then this is your ticket. It?s worth today?s prices and not at all disappointing. Just don?t expect a riotous comedy because the humor here is a little more subdued. See it. You won?t be disappointed.
