Just shut up and look at the acting!
Difficult to rate, must-go for the dazzling Tom Hardy alone. I've been following him for years- Wuthering Heights, Oliver Twist, Bronson, Sweeny Todd. He's easily in the running for finest actor of his generation. He gives the kind of performances that don't quit- so much magnetism, with a range of ferocious power & chilling coldness to touchable vulnerability and humanity. But this may be his best work yet! He's so moving in the end. Also note his chameleon touch for accents! But Must-Go is a deceptive rating, implying that is a 5 star film when I don't think that at all! Its a fairy tale story. If you've seen ANY dramas before you can predict what's lurking around every corner in the writing. Next his opposite Joel Edgerton's terrible, his expression's flat and unchanging, the character ends up simplistic and preachy. Though this is midigated some by Nick Nolte's good acting. Engaging, the fights are nail-biting, the dialogue's snappy, but its a so-so movie with only must-go acting.
