Warm Hearted...

I thought this movie was going to be a dud. Usually when the trailer makes a movie look both comical, romantic and scary you just know that there's going to be some issues. There WERE some parts that were startling... at one point in the movie my teenager jumped. It was quite cute. However, I found that in the end there was ACTUALLY a good lesson learned and a moral to the story that most older kids and teenagers should pick-up on and this 37 year-old mom of 4 even enjoyed. That is, "don't judge a book by it's cover" and "giving people second chances"... yes the movie was corny but I'd see it again. I'd even buy it once it is out on DVD. I would NOT bring a little kid to this movie though. Some idiot did and the kid bawled through parts of the movie.

A Zombie/Comedy/Romance with no unique twist

So I have to be honest, I walked out of the theatre amused but not impressed with anything. As other's have said the best way to describe this film is "cute". Typical fantasy character male (this time a zombie instead of a vampire or werewolf) falls for female human (played by a strong, can shoot-while-running blonde). The typical story continues where their relationships turns the entire rest of the "world" upside down and they have to deal with the consequences. Typical story line, over used plot. But unique idea because its a zombie instead of a vampire. Go for the few laughs, the music, and the reasonable acting, but not for a plot that gives you any twists or whiplash.

Warm Bodies

I must say this film really surprised me. It's an impossible love story as well as an intriguing action movie that kept me on the edge of me seat. The main character R chooses to save the life of a young girl instead of, well, eating her. He then takes her back to his home and keeps her safe, only to be heartbroken when she leaves. I would recommend this film for anybody at least 12 years old, and even then with parental guidance.

I was surprised that it was so cute. My daughter, best friend, and I went together. It was too short. Very sweet movie. I enjoyed the take on zombies.

I took my (reluctant) 73 year old mother with me to see this film and get her out of the house. She was laughing along with everyone else, and of course it was a light attendance-since it was the matinee at our local mall. I knew Nicholas Hoult from About a Boy, of course, but have also seen him in A Single Man and Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. The action movies he is credited with, I have not seen. I have been impressed with him, and let me say-this young British actor is an up and comer. Already, everything he touches turns to gold. He was delightful, sympathetic and funny in this touching zombie movie that is anything but traditional. There is a genuine story line, superb acting by all, but again he is one to watch. I recommend it most highly and if I can convince my middle aged boyfriend to see it I will be happy to go again!
