Very intense on the big screen.

WarGames is a great movie, but it just became greater after seeing it on the big screen. I actually felt the impact for the first time. The presentation had a major flaw: the satellite feed got knocked out for ten minutes. Luckily the movie picked up right where it left off.

WarGames 25th Anniversary

Unfortunately the satellite feed failed and we did not see anything after Falken's island. We were told by the Regal Cinema staff (Kendall, Miami, FL) that it was a satellite failure in all theaters nationwide so we are perplexed by this survey. Three of our party of five were very disappointed because they had not seen the movie before. The interviews before the movie were fine. I don't know what else to say except that we were disappointed and would like to knowwhat happened???

It was nice to see WarGames on the big screen again, as it was intended... not edited to fit your TV screen, or edited for content, language or length!

War Games 25th Anniversary

The movie was great, enjoyed it 25 years ago and enjoyed it again the other night. But the Fathom Events satellite service used for the event broke down in the middle of it for about 15 minutes. Since there was no live content, it was just a recorded movie, there was no reason to have a live satellite feed which was at risk of breaking down. The movie could have been downloaded to the hard drives of the theaters hours or even days head of time and we would not have been at risk of a botched broadcast. I am very unlikely to attend another Fathom Event for this reason.
