Had me laughing like a retard...

    by Jaycee5

?WALK HARD? isn?t going to change the world. It isn?t a ?thought provoking social commentary and a wake up call for America?. ?WALK HARD? is what a movie should be...entertaining. And entertaining it is. Laugh out loud funny with a couple of scenes that will make you genuinely uncomfortable...in a good way.

    Funnier than expected

I am kind of a comedy snob. But this movie made me laugh out loud on several occasions.

If you want to see light-hearted and fun, without being stupid, I would definitely go see Walk Hard.

    Walk...back to your car

I found this movie to be just ok. Some of the songs were funny, but the movie, not so much. I found it to be a waste of time.

Another Apatow gem to adorn his comedy crown

    by votum

If you are looking for a good comedy or parody then you will get more than your monies worth watching this film. The acting, the dialogue, the character develop was all on this beautiful pace where you had few breaks in laughter and it kept rolling and rolling like a snowball down a mountain in to a cresendo of joy. Not only can I not wait to own this film I want the sound track as well.

    Oh man...

    by

Personally, i thought this movie was hilarious. I can already hear the negative reviews and people saying this and that about how it's dumb and pointless but it was pretty damn funny. The dumb humor is exactly that, dumb humor. It's meant to soooo dumb that you have to laugh at its stupidity. I went in thinking that it was gonna be funny but came out pretty shocked at how funny it really was. If you're a fan of Knocked Up and Wedding Crashers and all the other "dumb" funny movies definitely go watch this one. It's well worth the overpriced movie tickets now a days.

Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story

    by amy1g

We laughed until the tears were rolling down our cheeks! The pop culture references, as well as the obvious political UNcorrectness, were hysterical! Thank you for a stress relieving hour and a half of laughs!

    Better than Talladega Nights

    by jmisner

"Walk Hard" is basically a spoof of the Johnny Cash biography "Walk the Line" (hence the title). Not to say every element of "Walk Hard" is a parody, but the main plot points are taken from the Johnny Cash story. With that aside, the humor was much smarter than anticipated, considering John Reilly's supporting role in "Talladega Nights." There are cameo appearances by a few musicians including Bono and Jack White. Some fail-safe actors take smaller roles (including Tim Meadows). Overall, it was a decently funny film. I would recommend it to friends, but I wouldn't say it was as funny as Knocked Up or Superbad.

Nonsense movie with a good story

    by lunalei

Even though I enter every movie with faux characters with little to no expectations, I left this one surprised with the solid plot and story. It was not only hilarious with all the expected pokes at music tribute movies there was also a lengthy list of actors I love seeing in comedy films. There are a number of ridiculous skits that make you laugh and cringe, but what do you expect. That should be key for these types of film, expect little. Just go for the fun and a good time with people you know you can laugh a good one with. Overall I enjoyed the film and left happy to have seen it. Dont try and come out with a sequel or anything, but it was fun to watch.

    Disappointing- not funny

    by benjow

I actually created a fandango account just to review this movie to make sure people knew how bad it is!

It's clear the actors in this movie tried to hard - which was disappointing, because we were expecting it to be funny. The silly songs seemed to last too long, and none of the jokes got more than a light chuckle from anyone in the audience (the few that were there). Unfortunately, as much as I've liked the lead actor in his previous roles, he just can't carry a film by himself. Don't see this movie, it's actually barely a rental.

    Hilarious unusual comedy

I laughed the whole way through this movie. The comedy style of this movie is unique, simple, and 'repeated'. If you like Knocked Up, Superbad, Family Guy, and/or the Simpsons, then you'll definately love this movie.

    AMAZING FROM START TO END!

Wow. That is all i can really say after seeing this film. I cannot believe that there are actually negative reviews here. The trailers of this movie do not live up to how amazing this movie is. My friends and I were laughing from start to finish. Judd Apatow is a genius with this film. Go see it, I guarantee you will laugh and want to see it again. Also I will note that there were TONS of different age groups in the theater (college-adult) and the entire theater was roaring with laughter. Also, there were MANY cameos in which I will not name, but they are all VERY funny people (yes there were more cameos than in the Beatles scene from the trailer)!

    See Walk Hard. Go. Now.

    Much better than I thought

    by

I went to this with three guys. Didn't think it would be very funny, but it was. Yes, the jokes are stupid... but that's the point.

    A real downer

I went in to this movie thinking, " Ok its the guys who made knocked up and Superbad, this will be good." That was not the case. Walk Hard is one of those movies that has a few good lines but the rest is garbage. I do not recomend this to anyone.

    Helps to know music

    by

This was a great movie but it helps if you have seen quite a few music documentaries to catch all the references. The scene with the Beatles is classic!
