Following the same pattern as the series of Cantinflas films, this routine Mexican comedy stars the country's other top-billed comic, Tin-Tan. He falls a little short of convincing in his take-off on a down-and-out storyteller who struggles to eke out a living on a daily basis. As in other Mexican films of this type the comedy arises from the fixes the storyteller gets into as he goes about his business, some of the situations are as threatening to his well-being as they are funny, yet once again, this time-worn formula runs a little thin here. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, Rovi
