Tight and sharp, best for fans, still accessibly to others

Fans of the Veronica Mars TV show don't need me to tell them they MUST GO, but I loved the movie so that's my rating. Non-fans should really consider watching the show, as it is a show I would recommend to anyone regardless of their tastes. So too with the movie, though while kids could watch it I would suggest PG-13 is a wise rating as there are gun shots and death, plus some significant suspense, all of it realistic. The sexual aspect is highly referenced but very little is seen on screen. The humor is excellent and well mixed into the movie, as it always was in the show. The same is true of the music, which wonderfully enhanced the experience. Cameos abound but amazingly don't feel overdone, as the character arcs and plot arc still dominate. Arguably there are a few scenes featuring characters from the show that don't obviously add to the movie and might be a distraction, but that's a small nit-pick on an otherwise fun mystery/neo-noir (is that a thing?) movie.

Rob Thomas does not disappoint

Let me start by saying that I basically NEVER write movie reviews. But I have to for VM. I was a fan of the show, and I feel like this movie could be successful with non-tv show followers. To be quite honest, I heard the premise of the film, and began to get nervous because I was afraid it would not meet my expectations. That was a wasted feeling. Rob Thomas' storyline met expectation level of the greatness of the show. The movie was nearly two hours, but I could have sat there for another 30-45 minutes to just get more. It is funny because in the movie, she felt like her coming back to Neptune and Logan, and compared it to a drug addiction. That is how I feel about Veronica Mars. It is like a drug addiction, and I just can't get enough. If you watched the show, and haven't seen the movie yet, what are you waiting for? You won't regret it. If you haven't watched the show, you'll fall in love with the movie, and get the hype (and just HAVE TO backtrack and watch the show).

Was so happy to see they made a movie from this show! I watched every episode when it was on tv and was sad to see it go! Loved seeing some old characters from the show and would recommend anyone to go see this movie!
